Can't say I agree with talk shows "promoting" infidelity. My investment in watching Maury and Jerry went away years ago, but I mean, really, I don't think anyone watches a Maury episode with someone who has 3 potential baby daddies and doesn't know which one of them is the father and goes "Yes! I want that life!"

You'd be surprised that some idiots want to be on tv no matter how bad it makes them look. Why do you think there are so many baby daddy talk shows and the like.
I want my 15 minutes too but I'm going to have it for something postive.

Honestly, I think that people like Maury, Jerry, etc. all get people to play the part. First off, there are people who would say or do anything for a couple of hundred bucks and the possibility of 15 minutes of fame. Vanna White was a contestant on Price is Right before she went on to fame and fortune.
It seems implausible that there are so many fucked up people in the world and they all agree to go on a show just to state how horrible they are. But for a few bucks, they'll never see these people again, so what difference does it make if they have a 12-year old daughter who is the town slut?

Vanna White was a contestant on Price is Right before she went on to fame and fortune. Yeah, she did, but she ended up being shipped off to "Leftover Island" for a while, as The Kid might say...
