Another poll for this section. Pick which PYL version you liked better.

Classic Press Your Luck, hands down.
Whammy!, I cannot stand.

I honestly don't know if I can choose.
Seriously, it helps that I saw both the reruns of PYL and Whammy on GSN in my early childhood. Heck, I likely first watched Whammy when it was still making new episodes, considering how long I've been watching game shows. I remember liking both of them for the animations and in Whammy's case, the Double Whammies. (Helps that I was about 5 or 6...)
I still like both of them. Although, I do watch PYL a lot more...

As I've said on this board/the GSN board (GSN when I was 15, which was when I joined the board), I watched the USA run of the original PYL and loved the Whammies. Then I watched the new PYL. Loved the big board, loved the new-school Whammies... Now that I think about it, the Double Whammy droppings were kind of annoying - and some of them didn't really do much. (The clothing, anyone?) Tough choice for me, so I chose the original PYL.

My preference goes to PYL. I did enjoy Whammy though

I would have to say my favorite Press Your Luck remake was Whammy and I stumbled upon Whammy by accident while waiting for a movie to start and I just liked the gameplay and the Whammies were so neat and funny and Todd Newton brought a comedic style to Whammy that other game shows had not tried before and made Whammy a true hit for GSN. It's really a shame that Whammy got cancelled because it truly was a fun and funny show and introduced Press Your Luck to a new generation of game show fans

I prefer the original PYL better because luckily it aired longer than Whammy: the new PYL,

Press Your Luck. Love the animated Whammy, Peter Tomarken was a great host.

I never have been a huge fan of either, but even so, I much preferred the original. Whammy! seemed to have far too many Whammies, which led to lots of small, unexciting wins. It seemed like you'd get one or two spins, then inevitably hit one. What's the point of racking up a lot of spins if you're just going to rack up Whammies quickly? Granted, this could happen on the original, too, but it didn't seem to happen nearly as often.

Second Chance, because it's not in the poll. In all seriousness, Press Your Luck hands-down. Whammy! did a lot of change for its own sake, including a bigger emphasis on prizes (there were over 100 that were worth $300 or less).
