Normally the show airs in Montgomery, Alabama at 10:30AM. Reddit, Jboard, and Thejeopardyfan have rough synopses of show up between 11-11:30AM EST. J-archive has lately had the clues from that day's show up between 1-2PM. It got delayed a bit today because of the Trump impeachment coverage. That is scheduled to happen Tue Wed and Thu next week as well.

jboard.tv/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5440 James H, Ken J, and Brad R will be in a ABC primetime tourney in January. Airing one two game total point match a day from January 7 until someone wins three of those matches, the person who wins three total point matches wins a million dollars, and the other two win $250K. I suppose they're rushing it into production to make sure Alex can still host it. 20 years ago today, ABC spoiled that someone would win a million dollars on the WWTBAM episode airing the next night, John Carpenter.

I am beyond excited about this as I asked myself if James will get to play Ken Jennings one day. This is going to be a ratings bonanza and for those who don't know, we need to spread the word on social media.

The series will run between three and seven two-game total point matches a la a TofC final. Each two-game match airs for one hour. The first player to win three matches will win the tourney. Whether they'd be taping seven one-hour episodes in one day at this point with Alex's health I don't know, so the matches could be taped over two or three days depending on how many matches are needed to determine a winner

Worth nothing that current champ Jennifer Quail has now won eight games. She's in second place among women for number of regular games won on Jeopardy; only Julia COllins with 20 was won more. Jennifer will if she is champion on 1/1 break Julia's win record. Jennifer has won $228,800 in eight games, while Julia had won $428,100 in 20 games.

In case anyone hasn't seen Jeopardy!'s GOAT tournament, I won't address spoilers but I agree with gameshowmaniac, that think music theme is intense as was last night's 1st match. It makes sense to use points instead of dollars since all three millionaires are playing just for the $1,000,000 grand prize with no cash awarded during the matches. I'm already enjoying this tournament and it's only day one (well day two tonight).

Ken won the GOAT tournament on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the airing of Frank Spangenberg game five, where he set the then one day record of $30,600 and the long standing five day record of $102,597. It took the doubling of the dollar values for someone to break his cash record(Dan Melia's total swag in September 1997 under the old values exceeded Spangenberg's when you added the car given for five wins between 9/97-7/03), as did a few other players pre doubled dollar values)

The Answer Is: This Veteran Actor and former Navy Pilot spent 11 years as the original host of "Jeopardy!"
The Question Is: Who Is Art Fleming?
The elder of 2 children (including a younger sister) born to Austrian Jewish Immigrants, Arthur Fleming Fazzin was born on May 1, 1924 in New York City, New York.
His Austrian Jewish Immigrant parents, Bill and Mary Fazzin, were a Dance Team in Europe whose Dance show unfortunately for them flopped after they immigrated to America, settling down in New York City, where Art was born.
At age 17, after graduating from James Monroe High School in 1941, young Art voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he spent the next 3 1/2 years (per his Wikipedia) stationed in the Atlantic Ocean as a Patrol Bomber Pilot.
He then followed the Navy with a stint as a radio announcer, where he became the first person, for Winston Cigarettes, to deliver the famous slogan "Winston Tastes Good Like a Cigarette Should," after which Art became an actor, appearing, among other roles as an Actor, for the British-made Crime Drama "International Detective" and the 1959 western "The Californians," where he portrayed an Attorney named Jeremy Pitt; he also appeared in a number of Commercials as an Actor.
One such commercial caught the eye of TV talk show host Merv Griffin, who was in the process of creating a unique Question-and-Answer game show in 1963 that would eventually forevermore be known as "Jeopardy!" Art became the host on the spot.
Art's "Jeopardy!" announcer for the next 11 years was Don Pardo, future "Saturday Night Live" announcer til his 2014 passing at age 96. The show debuted on March 30, 1964, airing weekday mornings on the NBC Television Network.
"Jeopardy!" was, for its original 11 years on NBC, Videotaped throughout at NBC Studios in New York City, New York.
In late 1974, then-NBC exec Lin Bolen, citing poor ratings, canceled "Jeopardy!" midway through its 11th season, with the series finale telecast on January 3, 1975 after 2753 Shows, with Art continuing as host of "Jeopardy!" for another 8 months in a nighttime Syndicated version telecast from September 9, 1974 - September 7, 1975 as well as a short-lived 1978 revival airing on NBC from October 2, 1978 - March 2, 1979, with John Harlan succeeding Don Pardo as Art's announcer, and the show now taped at NBC Studios in Burbank, California.
After signing off as "Jeopardy!" host for the last time, Art Fleming retired from Broadcasting in 1993; on April 11, 1995, after retiring to Crystal River, Florida, Art Fleming was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer; he died 2 weeks later, on April 25, 1995 at age 70, a week shy of what would have been his 71st Birthday, after which he was Cremated with Ashes scattered across the Pacific Ocean (according to his Find a Grave entry).
To honor Art Fleming's memory, I now present the 2000th Episode of "Jeopardy!" as telecast on February 21, 1972 on NBC, courtesy of this YouTube link here at www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9s8wsSdRh8

Now that the tourney has well passed, Brad finished one game with a negative amount and got credited with $0. Has that ever happened on a 2 day affair before?
