Ken Jennings was (and still is) my #1 choice, but it seems he is out of the running now, thanks to some tweets that he deleted and apologized for long ago. I felt it was unnecessary to cancel Ken because of that. My point being that Sony apparently felt that was more offensive than Mike Richards' behavior. Not unless that's not necessarily the case - rather, unless it's that Richards used that as a pretext to maneuver Ken out of the running.

BREAKING: Effective immediately, Mike Richards will no longer produce Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Michael Davies has agreed to help on an interim basis. Michael Davies will do better for the show than MR. He saw MIllionaire through its best years.

The show should be cancelled at this point. What was supposed to be an interesting ride to find Alex's successor has now turned into nothing but negative publicity. A show that gets high ratings in evening access isn't likely to go bye bye anytime soon. It still holds its own against Feud and other shows and will certainly do better in the ratings than Leno's You Bet Your Life if/when they run head to head. Although, Dawson Feud was number 9 or 10 in the syndication ratings when it got pulled in 1985.

It worked for the idiot-in-chief when a guy tried to hang on to the tail of an American plane leaving Kabul and fell to his death from 2,000 feet up and that copycat terrorist in Texas recently. ... And you're bring politics into this why? Leave it out, because you're making it worse for yourself.

The formal Jeopardy contestant "Ken Jennings" went on the same path as Mike. Another guy bites the dust.

The only thing holding Mayim back is her sitcom on Fox.

Link: Mayim Bialik And Ken Jennings Will Host 'Jeopardy!' Through The End Of The Year [NPR] The rest of the CALENDAR year, which is December 31. People got this confused with the rest of the season. Anyone who chooses to bring up politics to discuss the hosting situation from here on out will go straight to their next warning level. No questions asked. This is something that won't be put up with.

Having finally seen all of the Jeopardy guest hosts from S37 while also watching some S36 episodes with AT (that aired overnight in NYC as "Daytime"Jeopardy"), I wanted to offer some opinions on the different hosting styles.
- AT had no issue engaging with the Category Names as he read them at the beginning of each round. Whenever, the Clue/Category writers make an effort to tie the category names together, AT always brought it out in a proper way. It seemed like the S37 guest hosts were mostly reluctant to do that.
- S36 AT had many rounds with unrevealed clues, while the S37 guest hosts almost always finished off every clue on the board.
- Out of all the guest hosts, Mayim Bialik was clearly the best, IMHO, and I am very glad that she is getting as much time behind the podium as she is, even though it was a strange path to get there.
- Besides MB, what I found most notable out of all the S37 guest hosts was that Joe Buck was the "most improved" over his guest hosting tenure. It helped that he was in the middle of record setting run, as that played into his sportscasting background. He really leaned into the sports parallel of calling the action of a great performer (like he would for Tom Brady, etc.) and seemed to be enjoying the job more and more over the course of his five shows.

While it is more common to beat the champions who have double digit wins under their belts, Well damn done to Jonathan Fisher for beating Matt Amodeo

Wait... You're telling me there was no spoiler leakage prior to this? Well done, whomever is in charge, for not leaking the tape.
On another note, I'm DVRing this particular one for Mom and her husband, who can come home and enjoy it.

It's just sorta like how on the old gsn buzz boards, someone would post a spoiler about Wheel of Fortune, and you can guarantee that it was a $100k win/loss in the bonus round. It's not like someone has been posting everyday, so you know something extraordinary happened.

It's not like someone has been posting everyday, so you know something extraordinary happened. Honestly, and like I said... I was waiting for leaked video and/or audio of Final, like with James and his last game. I would have had to delete posts if that was the case. Also, wasn't his last game on a Monday as well as Matt's?
