and yet the entertainment industry still continues to dump and dumbdown classic shows so that these numb minded butthurt fanboys can complain their lungs out by ranting on Youtube so for other commentators talking about their videos can make fun of them for their own amusement at how idiotically dumb they are for not making a logical point.
I bet that this version wouldn't even last after one season just like Pearson/Fremantle's other gallery of forgetful nostalgic remade failures (i.e. MG '98, CS '01, BTC '02, Temptation etc.). isn't that just wonderful folks?

...I stopped paying attention at "butthurt." Seriously, nothing worth reading ever follows that.
If you cannot conduct yourself like an adult, rather than an escapee from 4chan or someplace like that, we'll just adjust your warning level accordingly. Should we go ahead and do that? Your call.
And for the love of God, stop hijacking threads with this garbage. You are not going to turn this place into the very cesspool you decry. I edited your post to remove the worst of it, so it's fine now, but if I have to do that again... well, let's just say that you're rapidly using up your free passes with us. It isn't what you're saying, it's how you're saying it that's rubbing us the wrong way.

Oh I apologize about that earlier, but seriously nobody can't make a good revival nowadays and us true, die-hard GS Fans are going to be extinct someday if we don't start to change and united together as one right now and say wake up and smell the roses.
But then again people are just too last enough to do that.

â–² That's one opinion, and once you filter out the alarmist rhetoric, there's probably something to be said for it.
Another opinion is that the genre is in the process of evolving, just as it evolved in the '50s with the advent of the Big Money Quiz Show, in the '60s after the Scandals nearly brought everything crashing down, in the '70s when a new generation had created a celebrity-obsessed culture, in the '80s when "larger than life" became the watchword of the day, in the '90s when things had to come back down to earth, and in the '00s when the seven-digit barrier was well and truly broken.
Not all evolution is good, I grant you that much, but that doesn't mean you should be afraid to experiment either. You never know what's going to work and what isn't until it gets out there for public consumption. I do honestly believe that a slavish re-creation of Win, Lose, or Draw, even the Teen version that Disney had aired a generation ago, would not work in this day and age -- maybe the "Draw-stacle course" thing was an attempt to spice things up and make things more palatable to a generation not raised on the classic shows of the '80s. I don't know, because I don't watch the show and I refuse to pass judgment on a show I've never seen based solely on what I've heard, as opposed to what I've seen in the finished product.
One thing I know for fact, however... whatever they chose to do with it, they did because on some level, someone thought it would work and be a good idea. Despite popular opinion, no one in this business ever sets out to make a crappy show... at least, no one who wants to stay in this business for very long does. Crappy shows are the result of various factors, very few of which could be seen beforehand and virtually none of which were done with malice aforethought; rather, they happened because someone, somewhere, thought they sounded like the proverbial "good idea(s) at the time."

but those so-called "good ideas" may look good on paper but the execution is another different story. Also let's face it along with short-lived shows you also have hit shows as well having flaws even though no matter what decade you lived in the past you will always have flaws no matter what and it will alienate long time viewers along with the ratings which they would be in a slump no matter if you still have many years to come or not.

I agree, but that's the chance you have to take sometimes.
Okay, let's approach this from a constructive position, then: How would you bring back Win, Lose, or Draw for an audience of 12-18s in 2014? Let us assume, for the sake of argument, that "Just do the Teen show the way it was done in the early '90s" is not an option and that you have to acknowledge what today's pre-college crowd wants to see. And if this "Drawstacle course" thing really is an abomination in your eyes, then come up with something that's better... again, without resorting to the crutch of "Just do it the way they used to do it."
(Please notice how I'm trying to keep this on the rails...)

Not everything can be turned into a "let's go back to the good ol' days" thing. See the fantasy revival thread. It's pretty much the same thing - change nothing, but raise the dollar values.
I have yet to see this show, so I can't tell you just how good/bad it is.

You are borderline going to get another warning. I take offense to what you said.

I concur, and this thread is also getting locked at absolutely the next antagonistic comment.

I'm utterly disgusted with the way this situation is being handled.
I'm not one to tell people how to run things but what kind of sissy administration is this? Mandoli and thekid, do you two have a backbone? fremantlesucks4eva is a classless troll and has no regards for whatever "rules" you're setting for him. If someone isn't being civil, you take action. Stop threatening and "warning" him because that does no good. The only way he can change (God willing) is if you suspend him or if that doesn't work, ban him because he's only going to continue spewing his filth. This thread and the Millionaire one SHOULD have been locked at the first sight of trouble. If you're wondering why fremantlesucks4eva is allowed to continue doing the things he does, it's because YOU'RE LETTING HIM!!! GROW A FREAKING PAIR AND DEAL WITH HIM ALREADY!!!
I don't apologize for blowing up because I have been silent about this issue for way too long. I'm done with this place so do with me whatever you wish.
EDIT: I can delete my account. Never mind.

Yeah, if this crap keeps up, I might leave too (not close my account, but take a small leave of absence). You should've banned that guy right away because you knew he/she was going to cause trouble based on what they did on the GSN forums. You still have a chance, just ban that user already and be done with it. I'm tired of these trolls ruining the fun for everyone.

We have to do the standard protocol with warnings. Obviously the warnings aren't working. I posted something in the staff thread that asked if we should just jump straight into a permaban. I'm sure thekid965 won't mind, and I'm hoping that everyone else is cool with it. I'm sorry if we have to do this. I'm going to lock the thread. If people want to talk, take it to PMs.
