I'm worried if we keep complaining, we'll see Dancing With The Stars again. I hope it doesn't come to that. I'd hope they keep that in the grave. Everytime they've tried it, it's been a bigger disaster than...well...yeah it's just sucked. I think the recent oldies block lasted longer than that mistake did.

I'm sure new show production cost is much steeper than lease acquisition. That was the reason why they never did a followup to those Game Show Awards as well.

So now what? GSN has basically died. What now? Do we still watch?

So now what? GSN has basically died. What now? Do we still watch? I'd avoid it like the plague, unless anything new that isn't Harvey Feud pops up. (I.e the remaining 1983-1985 and remaining 1987 episodes of $25K Pyramid)

They've got large gaps of 25K, 100K, P+, Super Password, Blockbusters that they haven't run yet. C'mon. Same goes with BUZZR.

GSN ran all of 100k, P+, SP, and Blockbusters years before.

GSN ran all of 100k, P+, SP, and Blockbusters years before. THe 1985-86 of $100K season hasn't been seen since 2000, save for selected episodes a few times here and there, including a couple of tourneys on a New Years' Eve 2003 Marathon. There were a few weeks of P+ and SP not aired due to celebrity clearances(and an Abby Dalton and RIchard Kline week of SP that would not have had celeb clearance problems), and three Blockbusters episode were skipped from November 1980, including the episode where the two out of three match format debuted.

Abby and Richard's episodes have aired before, so I don't know what happened here that warranted a skip.
Those skipped Blockbusters episodes did air on CBN in the mid-80's, but that was when they last aired.

Wow! You guys really keep careful track of this stuff. Yes, when GSN started is back when I really enjoyed this channel. I remember they showed Match Games galore, including the PM versions, and they showed different episodes many times a day, I used to try to watch all of them!! But it was VHS days then, I did tape Match Games, that's how I'd watch, BUT very short sightedly I would record over the tape with other Match Games after I watched them first. I didn't keep them!! Back then I thought it was too many shows to keep on tapes (it would practically fill the house too). But, for some reason I was smart when it came to Blockbusters and did keep all my tapes of that great one. BUT by the time I discovered Blockbusters and I was recording they stopped the show before they ran the whole series. Sometimes you could just kick yourself. I did the same thing when I used to listen to Jean Shepherd, I taped them but then I'd erase after hearing!! I did wake up finally and kept the Sheps I recorded but there were a lot of episodes I erased.

I discovered that GSN has added something new and fresh to their Saturday schedule and believe it or not it isn't more Steve Harvey Family Feud episodes. Starting Saturday mornings the Chris Harrison version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire can now be seen at 12:00PM PT and continuing til 3:00PM PT and when I was saw this change I was overjoyed to see something different on GSN. I was gonna watch an episode this morning but I decided to watch Cheers instead Kelsey

I'm worried if we keep complaining, we'll see Dancing With The Stars again. I hope it doesn't come to that. I actually do like this show (on ABC, not GSN) when it first airs whenever I can stay up until 10 nowadays to catch it; but I can't possibly imagine how they could have even rerun this show reasonably. The main dancing episodes are two hours long, followed by a one hour or sometimes two hour results show special the night after. That's too much time to invest for repeats when someone can just watch the highlights on YouTube if they want to see old routines that badly. It's been close to 20 years since GSN has run the first season of $100,000 Pyramid regularly. It'd be nice if they could run that again. They've surprised us before with certain eras of a classic being rerun for the first time either in years, or ever (1987 Eubanks CS, mid-80's $25k, PYL from 1983). It'd be great if they could do it again. Or if they could get $20,000 back. I'm honestly not even a big fan of the Davidson version but at this stage in the game I would not be opposed to it airing. At least it has the distinction of being the final Bob Stewart-produced version of the show.

That's a problem I have with another show I like to watch: America's Got Talent. Shows with performances are 2 hours long and result episodes are an hour long. That is why I don't want AGT on GSN just like DWTS.

GSN sees what works and doesn't work. Tried DWTS? Nope. Amazing Race? Nope.
Unless someone comes along that wants this on, then chill out.

God, I completely forgot about The Amazing Race airing on GSN. I remember it got to the point where they only aired it at 2-3AM, right before the infomercial blocks.

And people were defending TAR, saying it helped lower GSN's demographics.
