I find it hard to believe that GSN would have *never* had interest in airing, at the very least, the Trebek version of Concentration. The situation might be more complicated than NBC simply embargoing the show, but I have to think it would have turned up in the '90s or early 2000s if it was easily obtainable. The show must have still had a following in the early '90s, otherwise NBC wouldn't have kept it around in reruns until they ended their daytime game shows altogether. I can't see why, at the outset, GSN would have willfully passed on a successful incarnation of a classic format which only ended earlier that year.
Now, whether these issues would apply to Buzzr in 2018 is another issue. I'd be over the moon if Buzzr picked up the show, but I'm not getting my hopes too high.

Thanks Casey for giving us more love. Not worth wasting our time with that passive-aggressive too scared to come here and face us directly. He's just fishing for web hits for his withering blog. I only ever went there to get PDF schedules.

I can confirm GSN had interest in the Trebek version.

I can confirm GSN had interest in the Trebek version. I wonder how recent this interest was and if they tried more than once to acquire it. Sounds like the long standing theory probably has truth to it. Logic seems to present itself that way.

I can confirm GSN had interest in the Trebek version. USA Network tried to pick up CLassic Concentration reruns circa 1994 when they still had their afternoon game show block, right after NBC stopped airing it in reruns.

If it's true that both GSN *and* USA really had these problems trying to acquire it, and as it was correctly pointed out earlier that NBC was the only network to really do any kind of rerun mileage with it after CC ended, then yeah. There's really no other logical explanation.

From what I understand, it's still on during the weekends.

From what I understand, it's still on during the weekends. Still, you have to applaud GSN for bringing The Chase back onto the schedule. I wonder if viewer complaints were a factor. (Also, I'm half-expecting ladykelsey to have mixed emotions about this.)

I don't have GSN right now so all I can do is just wish, hope, and wait for them to add the last two seasons of The Chase to Netflix.

I hope enough viewer complaints will be a factor in bringing us the 1984 episodes of $25,000 Pyramid.
I've had enough of GSN avoiding that year of the show. If GSN can bring back The Chase due to viewer complaints, I don't see why they can't do the same to $25K Pyramid.

Something tells me it had nothing to do with "viewer complaints" and more to do with "they just felt like it", which tends to be the rhyme and reason for most all schedule changes on GSN.

What sucks is that Millionaire got the boot on weekdays while Harvey Feud keeps its block with the exception of America Says being there at 5pm. More often than not, with my job I usually clock out right before Harvey Feud comes on. It's a lose-lose for me.

(Also, I'm half-expecting ladykelsey to have mixed emotions about this.) The Chase reruns are returning to GSN replacing Chris Harrison's Millionaire reruns? How exciting this is Mandy but I watch Chris Harrison's Millionaire at the same time as The Chase. Now if GSN had Cash Cab being shown in place of Catch 21 and then The Chase afterwards it would make a fun morning lineup to see my two favorite game show hosts Mark Labbett and Ben Bailey one after the other. Maybe the return of The Chase reruns mean that GSN will revive The Chase someday soon and add it to their schedule Kelsey

I wish GSN can add older Family Feud back and just remove $25K Pyramid I was telling my grandfather that on Father's Day it's getting sickening but I'm happy that Chris Harrison Millionaire and Cash Cab are off of the Daytime schedule but reruns of Bob Eubanks Card Sharks must leave the schedule I don't mind having Jim Perry's Card Sharks back and save your prayers because if America Says becomes a huge hit then Steve Harvey Family Feud might be cut because the reruns is getting out of hand same thing goes to Disney Channel and it's reruns of Jessie and Bunk'd although the latter has ended
