As far as I'm concerned GSN has already gone out of business. I wouldn't watch that "Harvey Feud" if you paid me. It's a horror.

With the recent passing of Olivia de Havilland, her appearance on Blyden WML from near the end of the run in 1974 could be part of GSN's annual episodes of WML/IGAS this Christmas.

After his passing, I'm hoping that GSN does a tribute to Regis Philbin by doing a Millionaire marathon. Actually, it doesn't have to be just Millionaire. It can be other game shows he's been on. Hopefully something like that is already in the works. I think it would be a disgrace if GSN didn't host a marathon in his honor.

Is there a reason the inferior 2012 PYRAMID is being shown instead of the classic 1980s $25K PYRAMID or the current $100K PYRAMID?

The GSN Mike RIchards Pyramid is more recent and they don't have to go through Sony to air it as it was a GSN original. Dylan Lane Chain Reaction has run almost continually on the channel, and it's been 13 years since the last new episode of it.

Also realistically more modern looking shows will always do better ratings than the classic reruns. It’s time to give up on the idea that GSN is going to air the old stuff anymore, those days are long gone

Around 2000, Match Game 7x, was getting higher ratings than some of their originals at the time like DJ Games and Hollywood Showdown, as per posts in ATGS at the time. Primetime in those days was Feud Dawson/Match Game 78/70s and 90s Newlywed/New 3s a Crowd/Showdown/Card Sharks. Perry Match Game was their highest rated rerun show until they picked up Regis Millionaire in Fall 2003.

Ordinarily I'd be upset about this but our cable company Spectrum blocked Game Show Network from our list. I guess they don't want us to see how much it sucks nowadays lol.

Careful now, Mr. You Know Who is dissing us on his blog site again because of that comment. Gonna be honest here, my dad has Spectrum and he has GSN. Not sure why Spectrum isn't showing it on your end.

Spectrum may have dropped GSN from their lineup in your area. I am thinking that ratings for GSN fell so much in an area which is heavily dependent on classics and Spectrum knows that modern material won't do well in your area. It wouldn't shock me if other cable providers will eventually follow suit. But I couldn't care less either way.

Hopefully something like that is already in the works. I think it would be a disgrace if GSN didn't host a marathon in his honor. Realizing this is from a month ago now, I thought the same thing a month ago. I think GSN lost the rights to Regis' Millionaire, but I don't think it would be that hard to get the rights back for select episodes for a day. I'm not in television, but I'm just saying. I think I've seen it before. I remember that "Viewers Choice Marathon" GSN did on the day after Thanksgiving in 2007. A bunch of those shows I'm not sure they really had the rights to, including Joker's Wild, but they got the rights for that day. I'm a little surprised GSN hasn't done a tribute to Regis. They have done, at least small tributes in more recent memory. I remember when Jim Lange passed away, GSN aired some Dating Game episodes during the oldies block, or when Monty Hall passed away some Let's Make a Deal. I don't get GSN anymore. I basically have resorted to streaming now, like a lot of people. This is more of a rhetorical thought, but I almost wonder why we even really discuss the GSN schedule anymore when there's really nothing to discuss. It's become like a lot of other networks now with the binge worthy schedule for the most part. I believe that's mostly because networks know that this is the "binge watching" era and that people would sit there and watch consecutive episodes of the networks most popular shows as if they're binge watching something on demand or on a streaming platform. That's especially true of GSN's weekend schedule. So that was just a rhetorical thought wondering about why we still discuss the GSN schedule. It's not to really be taken very literally, if you will, but there's just not much to discuss anymore, right? Maybe I'm looking at it wrong lol.

I'm just making a flat statement because it used to be classic shows all the time, then 3/4 of the time, then half the time, then 1/4 of the time, now there are NO classics on GSN--just originals and modern shows. So that's why it doesn't bother me at all our provider has it as a "blocked" channel unless we upgrade--no thanks.
