Honestly, I really found the GSN version of the show to be disappointing. I wasn't a fan of the pretaped webcam mob design... that seemed to really take the raw type of banter and the back-and-forth away from the contestant and the mob, which was one of my favorite things about the NBC era. That added a lot of excitement to the game IMO. And as much as I enjoy her elsewhere, I wasn't a fan of Carrie Ann Inaba's hosting there.
But to each their own.

With a new batch of episodes to boot!If I had to guess, based off the episode codes (S-001 to S-008), it will be the 1985-86 syndicated version. Thank you GSN for giving $ale a chance with new episodes! When the PDFs for the first week of December come out, we'll see if that's permanent...here's hoping! In addition, a Family Feud marathon on Thanksgiving, featuring every version. This includes: Dawson 8am-9am Combs 9am-10am Anderson (UGH!) 10am-11am Karn 11am-12pm O'Hurley 12pm-1pm Roker Celebrity Feud 1pm-2pm Harvey 2pm-8pm Also, a Harvey feud marathon will air following the $otC marathon on Black Friday.

Happy that there's every host (a big YAY), but why give Harvey half of the marathon? That blows.

One of the Dawson episodes features Sammy Davis Jr., and another features an episode from the Battle of the TV Hosts week, circa 1983. I am not certain if it will be the same episode that aired during the Betty White Christmas marathon back in 2005, though I do admit, it was one of the best Dawson-hosted Feud episodes during his career. The Ray Combs episodes features two episodes from Ray's final season - an Opryland episode, plus an episode with the American Gladiators that is labelled "new-to-GSN" - I will be recording that one for sure. One of the Louie episodes features the cast of Baywatch, if I read correctly. The Al Roker episode might be the fourth episode of such short series - I know the first three Roker episodes are on YT, but what I ask is, were there more than 3 episodes recorded, and only 3 of them made it to NBC? Regarding $ale, I think there's some kind of hinting of what may be coming in December. I bet there'll be a schedule change, or different episodes of classics coming in December. I can see why GSN had no problem airing Christmas 1983 in April, July and October - GSN probably knew well in advance that the rights may likely will have expired before December 2, so if that's the case, it probably would have been impossible to air Christmas 1983 during Christmas this year.

There were 6 episodes of Celebrity Family Feud with Al Roker. All of them were aired by NBC.

CardSharksFan8689As I said in my initial post - if the marathon is any indication, the syndicated $otC will probably be taking over weekdays at 10am ET. It would be nice to have a unanimous changeover of the classics (save for Match Game ofc, which still has a while on its current lease).

Yesterday I noticed that 1 Vs 100 had disappeared from the Tuesday Night lineup on GSN and in the 9PM slot that was meant for 1 Vs 100 last week now is a rerun of The Chase but during the promo clips of 1 Vs 100 GSN has now moved it to Fridays. Why did GSN do this because I thought Tuesday Nights were a smart idea for GSN to air 1 Vs 100 directly after The Chase, Was last Tuesday's debut of 1 Vs 100 just a one time run so that GSN could welcome both The Chase and 1 Vs 100 to the lineup at the same time?, Kelsey

But it's alot better in the Friday Night Lineup cuz Baggage did awful in the ratings on Friday Nights.

The PDF schedules are up on Game show Follies, and Syndicated Sale will be airing regularly in December, with Ep. S-009 scheduled for Monday, December 2.
Also, Blockbusters with Bill Cullen returns after a 4 1/2 year vacation that same day - they are from late in the run.
Still no fresh Press Your Luck yet. In fact, it will revert back to December 1, 1983 on December 10. But at least we may get to see Christmas week 1983 this Christmas after all!

Syndie $ale and the return of Blockbusters are both great news for sure. I'm also glad that they're not dumping any other classics. Not wild about STYD, but at least it's something different that will make some people happy, and it reduces the Family Feud pile-up. Maybe if the ratings are good, they'll pick up Supermarket Sweep to go along with it.
By the way, STYD is listed starting from episode "001". I'd guess that means they're starting from the very first episode of the show, though it's possible that the Lifetime run was designated differently and this is actually the beginning of the PAX run. Either way, it's definitely the Pat Finn era.
