First results for Wheel on GSN aren't encouraging. As I posted on the blog... It's just one day but Wheel of Fortune isn't doing much for GSN. The Thursday, November 3 eps pulled 142K and 150K total viewers, and almost no 18-49 viewers. Lingo was performing about the same in the death slot opposite The Price is Right.

No matter what show airs on GSN during the 11:00 a.m. ET hour, the price is not right for GSN, especially when it is up against a certain game show with Drew and his crew and attracting millions of viewers daily. We lost Super Password because of this. That time slot does experience heavy turnover of programming. GSN may as well devote that 11:00 a.m. ET hour to paid programming while they're at it.

Hi everyone it's your dear friend Kelsey with a wonderful surprise that has been added to the GSN schedule. When I was just about to take my Saturday rest you'll never guess what I found? In the 6:00PM PT slot I discovered that The Chase reruns can be found on GSN on Saturday nights. And not only that GSN also has reruns of The Chase on Monday nights at 7:00PM PT as well. When I heard about this news I nearly sobbed with happiness I am always thinking about all of you and really miss you guys a lot Kelsey

In the first week that Wheel of Fortune ran on GSN, October 24-28, TPiR averaged 4.84 million viewers in its first half-hour and 5.50 million in its second half-hour. That's tough competition for any show on our little game show network.

To put a cap on the discussion about the advance schedules from GSN, a repost from my blog...
Just got a reply from GSN about this blog no longer getting the advance schedules.
We were asked a few weeks ago to only send listings to actual listings services, like Gracenote and Rovi, so you ended up being cut, along with Scott at GSNN, which as you also noticed, has decided to end his blog. I’m hoping to figure out a workaround, but for now, that’s the situation.
Me again: I have no problem with this at all. GSN has the right to limit the distribution of the advance schedules any way they see fit. I appreciate their courtesy in sending me the schedules for many years. I know that a number of my readers have enjoyed following changes in the GSN lineup. The listing services will do a very good job, I'm sure, in tracking the GSN schedule in the future.

Yep, gsnnadmin's site is shut down. I found out about it last Friday.
As for Gracenote and Rovi, I do know the former source is most likely a service you might have to pay a fee. Rovi's online schedule, however, is available for public viewing. It only shows listings up to and including November 21 at this point (at least for Card Sharks).

I saved the PDF schedules for historical airing info as well, which episodes were skipped and which I missed due to my own issues or technical glitches. I'm guessing there will be no way to get any form of these listings after the fact. Bummer.
It would be one thing if we could get this level of episode detail in free or even paid listing services, but they never show the level of detail the pdf schedules have.

Can I see the exact website link for Rovi, please? It looks like we're gonna have to keep tuning in to each show during the first four hours, just to see where exactly they all are. Major bummer. I can only hope that this workaround gets figured out.

Yeah, I can't find Rovi's "free" listings either. Everything I see on the Rovi site is sales pitches for its services.

Yeah, that's the one bad thing about the published listings. The pdfs from GSN gave much more detail about performers, show descriptions, original air dates, etc. By the way, Gracenote provides the listings to Zap2it or ScreenerTV or whatever they call it now.
Who knows, maybe GSN will start sending me the schedules again one of these days. I really don't know why they wouldn't want this information spread as widely as possible. But as I said before, they've got a right to limit the pdf distribution any way they want.

I really don't know why they wouldn't want this information spread as widely as possible. I'm not making a dime off of this board. (No, seriously. This is a free board. Haven't had to pay for any of the features yet.) So GSN will give those who expect cash to flow in their direction an advance copy of the schedule, but not the free sites, who don't need Uncle Sam to help them run them. Nice going, GSN.

ScreenerTV is a free site, though they make money off advertising. But none of that money makes its way to GSN. Anyhoo, ScreenerTV says Divided will debut Friday, November 25. That's Black Friday, which seems like an odd day to debut a new show. Posted some more about this on the blog... Schedule note?As I've posted, GSN no longer sends me their advance schedules. But I noted an odd entry on the network's lineup at ScreenerTV (formerly Zap2It). Divided, GSN's upcoming reboot of a Brit format, gets a Friday, November 25 debut, according to the site. I really don't believe this, because not even the programming wizards at GSN would schedule a debut on Black Friday. Also, I've seen promos for GSN's Thanksgiving weekend marathons, and there was nary a word about Divided. So I tend to think this is just a blooper. Wish I could be sure, but I don't have the advance schedules any more. Hey, GSN, if you want some free publicity for your upcoming shows, I'm available! ScreenerTV also says that GSN will burn off some new eps of Winsanity on Saturday, November 26. I do believe this, because I recall glimpses of the show in the Thanksgiving promos. GSN has to dump the new eps sooner or later, anyway. Though Winsanity got pretty good numbers compared to the Hellevator disaster.
