Nice to see they're throwing a bone to the syndicated versions of both shows (there's two 1970s WML? episodes and a '72 IGAS episode in there.
Yep, I've always liked syndie WML and it's nice to see a couple eps on GSN. I've never seen the syndie on Buzzr, which is a little strange. You think they could drop in an episode now and then.
And any version of IGAS is all right with me. Okay, I wasn't crazy about the 2006 GSN revival. But I liked the Oxygen revival in 2001-02.

I suggest imagining your self as one of the contestants on those programs as you watch them. You just might become as happy and excited as them and start enjoying those programs. Can you please lay off of people's opinions? Not everyone shares your thoughts. And stop suggesting things to others. That was not nice...

Well, since I started all this ruckus with less than kind remarks about Card Sharks and PYL/Whammy, I might as well keep going. I never learn.
Sorry, but I just find the random button-pushing on PYL/Whammy and the acey-deucey on Card Sharks to be pretty boring. (I always make an exception for Michael Larson, who produced the most brilliant solve in game show history.) Other people obviously like the shows because they've both had decent runs in a number of different versions. No big deal, just different strokes.

This latest move from GSN of replacing the original CS with W! will fail. Trust me. It failed when STYD replaced Sale of the Century, it failed when a newer version of Feud replaced an airing of Match Game, why should it be any different here?

To be honest, I've never had much use for Card Sharks or PYL/ Whammy. Both formats always seemed simplistic and dull to me. So if one show replaces another, I have no strong feelings about it. My interest in PYL is mostly trying to figure out the patterns similar to what Michael Larson did. Even after they switched up the patterns after the Larson episodes aired, I still think I could have done something similar with them. Otherwise, the gameplay, contestant quality and poor strategy left much to be desired.

Were you referring to "Whammy!" as "W!"? The reason I asked is because I was concerned some folks might confuse it with "Wheel of Fortune" due to other folks referring to it as simply "Wheel" and its role among the most recent changes to the Game Show Network's programming plan for Monday through Friday mornings.

He isn't the only one that initially read W! as Wheel. I figured it out quickly, though.

dare2be He chooses to nitpick about little things. I'm about one sentence away from a perma-ban.

Hate to burden Douglas Pucci with too many requests. But I'll ask him for some numbers on the revised GSN daytime schedule. Whammy, Wheel of Fortune, Catherwood Chain Reaction, The Chase.
I'll also ask Mitch Metcalf at Showbuzz for the numbers on Window Whatnot. It's not a game show, so I don't cover it on the blog. But this thread covers all of GSN's schedule.
