It's not a game show, so I don't cover it on the blog. It's more of a game show than Scare Tactics is. Need I say it over again? (It's not directed towards you.)

I don't think Window Whatnot is a game show. It's a subjective talent contest, sort of. I do think the show is doomed. From the blog... Speaking of reality trash, non-game show Window Whatever is getting horrendous numbers. 155K total viewers and a 0.02 18-49 rating for the November 22 ep. Look for this thing to disappear in a hurry. GSN's reality shows have crashed and burned lately, unless they've got naked girls.

Does GSN still air game shows? I never noticed. (Sarcasm)

Does GSN still air game shows? I never noticed. (Sarcasm) By traditional definition of game shows, yes. Though not very many. Come to think of it, I think a largest percentage of game shows, by traditional definition of "game show", takes up the majority of the schedule, even if the schedule is flooded with Harvey's Feud, and air other shows such as Deal or No Deal, The Chase, IdiotTest, The Newlywed Game (though not as often), and anything pre-2010. GSN's reality shows tend to bomb unless there are nude girls or sexually explicit material involved, which is why Harvey's Family Feud and Skin Wars do attract a large audience, and reality shows make up a very small percentage of GSN's weekly schedule, on average. So yeah, while GSN doesn't have as many game shows to offer like they did ten years ago, they do devote the majority of the weekly schedule to game shows, even if it's overkill of Family Feud.

GSN sure knows how to run marathons. Seriously, I love seeing nothing but Family Feud almost all day every day. I'm glad GSN figured that out!
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone.

I have to say, I'm really surprised The Newlywed Game hasn't been ditched yet. It still airs on Saturdays and it has me wondering why. Why not give Wheel Of Fortune more love? How about the current week's episodes of The Price Is Right that people may have missed because of work? Seriously, why is TNG still on the schedule? I honestly wish it would go away as it's a show I don't care about at all.

How about the current week's episodes of The Price Is Right that people may have missed because of work? Highly doubtful, given that not even Buzzr can get the rights to show Price.

If it does happen, it will likely be after CBS cancels the series, and if any Barker-era episodes get rebroadcast, the episode selection may very likely be limited to episodes from the final five seasons (2002 to 2007). Forget about older episodes - many of them are banned from rebroadcast. And even after Bob Barker passes away, CBS will most likely respect his wishes and continue the ban. I actually wonder if the vast majority of the older TPIR episodes are likely held at an undisclosed storage site out of U.S. reach?

I think Holly Hallstrom did say that the only way she wouldn't get any residuals for any episodes she did would be if Barker was alive. Barker doesn't have an estate to have the final say.
Also, what would a videotape vault outside of the U.S. want with the older TPIR shows? If anything, they all reside in Fremantle's videotape vault in Burbank.

No one mentioned the 2 Match Game episodes that aired on GSN today at 1:00-2:00PM. Looks like the start of the current lease (921-922). I wonder what that is all about.
I miss having access to those schedule PDFs.

I noticed on my DVR this morning that Match Game was listed for a second hour. This current Match Game lease should only be for episodes 920 thru 1215. The lease prior to this one started at #1216. I was hoping this lease would be 920 thru 1215 and then maybe also include the 1980-81 syndicated season. Showing this small amount of episodes 4 times a day will get tired and stale fast!

I don't mind the overlapping of the current lease. It'll let me get some missed episodes from the original lease run sooner.
