What are we supposed to do? Ignore it? That's all up to you. As for me, I personally choose to ignore it. It's really not that hard. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I personally agree. I will admit its annoying channel surfing and seeing nothing but multiple episodes of Feud. Maybe that will eventually happen. Until then, as long as Harvey gets ratings, it's getting the exposure it's getting now. In all fairness, GSN has tried that this year with acquisitions such as Hollywood Game Night and Cash Cab. It looks like Hollywood Game Night bombed, but Cash Cab seems to be doing wonders for the network. Not to mention they're bringing recent episodes of Millionaire to the network, so they're trying different shows.

I wish there was a way (or if there is a way, I wish I knew how) to find out exactly which episodes of Match Game will be aired by GSN during the holidays, so I can set my DVR accordingly before traveling. I know I could just create a large swath of timers to cover them all, but I'd rather not.

Yes, I agree with the fact that certain shows become stale. There was a time during the late-2000s when Karn's Feud was GSN's "Cash Cow". By 2011 or so, people were downright tired of such overkill, and currently the show doesn't exist on GSN.
As for Christmas Day, I am not surprised some marathons were coming on that day, otherwise the holiday-decorated Card Sharks episodes would have started next Wednesday.
Regarding the Match Game marathon on Boxing Day, it turns out ScreenerTV doesn't have that listed yet, but I am sure it will soon enough.

Makes me wonder if people will eventually get tired of Steve Harvey overkill. I actually have chose to ignore the amount of episodes GSN airs of it a day because after awhile you just kind of live with it, as much as it gets old flipping on the guide and seeing Harvey Feud.
Hey, Harvey is ratings gold for GSN. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess. I'm just glad GSN is trying to acquire other shows like they did Cash Cab, and now Millionaire. I really enjoy Cash Cab the most. I never really got to watch it before until it got acquired by GSN.
Will people ever get tired of Harvey Feud? Maybe, or maybe not. People probably view Steve Harvey Feud as a comedy more than a game show. I don't know.

No Pyramid marathon on New Year's Eve? Not a major complaint, but you'd think they'd do that considering how much they've done it in the past, and that they're giving other classics marathons.

They haven't done Pyramid marathons on a regular basis in quite a few years. They did the year Dick Clark died I think in 2012 or something like that, but they haven't done it consistently in a long time now to my knowledge.

They haven't done Pyramid marathons on a regular basis in quite a few years. I'm guessing you weren't around on Thanksgiving.

Otherwise the latenight episodes continue with 78 episodes (in the early 1200 range), and I guess that the regular episodes will continue in their respective slots.

The episodes are now out for the December 26 Match Game marathon. It's all 78 episodes, particularly episodes 1174-1186.

Looks like more time to spend with my family over Christmastime. Still, good to see Match Game get more exposure.

They haven't done Pyramid marathons on a regular basis in quite a few years. I'm guessing you weren't around on Thanksgiving. I meant on New Years Eve. Not to mention all day marathons of Dick Clark Pyramid like they used to do. If they did a marathon on NYE from 8-12 like they did on Thanksgiving, fine, but that doesn't count to me as a true NYE Dick Clark Pyramid marathon. I'm not saying that to sound ungrateful, but it's just not a true Clark Pyramid marathon, not a traditional one like they used to do. However, now that you mentioned it, I had forgotten about the mini marathon they had on Thanksgiving.

Yes it is. A Clark Pyramid marathon by any other name is still a Clark Pyramid marathon. It doesn't have to be on New Year's Eve. Certainly I'd love a Pyramid marathon on New Year's eve, but it's just not happening. Considering the show airs on the regular schedule, I'm not too upset.
I believe they haven't done a Clark Pyramid New Year's Eve Marathon since 2013 (I was out of the Game Show Loop for 2014 and 2015, so I had no idea what was going on). Not to mention the last time Dick Clark hosted the New Year's Eve program was 2011 (crap, has it been that long).

Yes, it's still a marathon, but it's not a true Clark Pyramid marathon like they used to run all day on New Years Eve. That's my opinion though. At least they air it. And again, I'm not complaining. IF they did run a New Years Eve marathon from 8-12 of Pyramid, fine. I'm just stating my opinion that it's not a true Pyramid NYE marathon unless they run it most of the day like they used to. Don't know if any of this makes sense yet.
I don't watch GSN much anyways these days, especially the older shows on GSN because I just don't feel like recording them anymore. The only thing I watch on GSN is an occasional reruns of Idiotest (when not in season) and Cash Cab.
I might record the late night classics though for the next two weeks, I know I'll definitely record WML and IGAS.

I was actually wondering something. When the episodes were listed for Card Sharks on ScreenerTV, it seems as if the CBS airdates were taken from my Card Sharks episode guide on the Game Shows Wiki, which is still a work in progress. I wonder if there was actually no pre-emption in September 1987 due to coverage of Pope John Paul II's arrival to the U.S., and that the nationwide pre-emption other than the Oliver North testimony was actually Christmas Day 1987? I'm starting to sense that aaaa's recollection may likely be right.
Maybe there is still hope on possibly seeing the December 21, 1987 episode this coming Tuesday. And if so, I wonder if the December 31, 1987 episode will be reserved for the last weekday airing of 2017?
Only one way to find out. I'll have my DVD recorder ready for next Tuesday. If Sunny and David are contestants to start the show, it is pretty clear that the episode numbering and dates are off as far back as mid-September 1987.
Looking back at when GSN aired the November 1987 episodes the first time around in this lease, the episodes' CBS airdates were shown on ScreenerTV, and the information about those episodes was published on my episode guide before they originally aired in the current lease late in March or last April (thanks to Jared Oswald's uploads from much of that month), whereas there was no information for much of the episodes before November 1987 until after GSN aired them. Then, when we got around to December 1987, there were gaps to fill in the episode guide, hence why there were no original airdates listed on ScreenerTV, until this latest cycle.
I do remember having my DVD recorder set for August 2 to record the October 26, 1987 episode, but when I was expecting it to air, I learned my math was off, and learned that the episode would actually be aired the next day. For some reason, there must be an episode missing on my episode guide that I didn't account for.
