I think, in my opinion, Cover Story is considered to be GSN's answer to Buzzr's Game Changers. It wouldn't shock me if Game Changers may have inspired GSN to come up with their own documentary series.
If this is the case, GSN may now being trying to be competitive and try every attempt to win viewers back. After all, I did read on Game Show Follies that GSN's ratings were lower in 2017, and I think it may be Buzzr that may be keeping viewers away from GSN.

Because my IPTV service is having a make my life miserable party, could someone please tell me what episodes of Card Sharks and Let's Make a Deal aired tonight after they happen?

I can actually tell #207 of PYL is the start of a new round of tapings: First off, the Double Your $$/Spin space is in a different location (#2; it was in #10 previously), and the backdrop behind Peter during the big board rounds is now a brighter shade of orange. As it would be for the rest of the run. It was a brighter shade of red in #195-#206.
And I don't know why there were 12 episodes taped (6 Saturday and 6 Sunday), instead of the usual 10 (11 wasn't the norm yet until Fall 1984).

And now it's back to GSN, with said Press Your Luck in question. So this is the episode where the backdrop during the spinning portion changed? I always liked it when it was red opposed to orange.
Why do I get the feeling this is going to be some sort of see-saw battle between what's showing on my thing tonight.

Ok. I'm very curious what the next episode will be, considering zap2it didn't have an airdate for the 9:30pm show.

Airing now is episode #440 from January 7, 1980. Diane Vs. Ann.
For anyone wondering when we're gonna see the debut of the dot-matrix dollar sign on the Money Cards podium. It was episode #456 from January 29, 1980 with Bill Vs. Pam. Though we don't know if it will be part of this current lease.

Good. When I checked zap2it a couple of weeks ago, the 9:30pm episode had an airdate of April 24, 1978. They usually put premiere dates on series if they don't have specific information.
It'll be interesting to see how many Perry episodes they leased. I'd like to say they got 8 months of episodes like with the Eubanks version and Press Your Luck, but I'm not sure. Didn't Perry's version previously have a smaller lease than everything else?

Looks like a Super Deal episode of Let's Make a Deal from 1976 is on right now.
I hope GSN decides to invest more in this show in the future. 12 episodes are going to burn through fast. Though I am very grateful GSN is airing it right now

The GSN Online Schedule is now updated
Anybody interested in learning more about former Deal or No Deal model and future royalty Meghan Markle? There’s a special Sunday January 21st at 7:00pm/10:00pm Eastern. A miscellaneous title that describes the William Shatner TV Game Show Special that aired in the network a few years back is scheduled for 8:00pm/11:00pm.
And the Saturday Night block still remains.

And the 8-11PM block is an hour each of MG7x, PYL, and Card Sharks. In the 7-8PM hour the classic will be.... Steve Harvey Feud.
