The 9:30pm episode was indeed the New Year's Eve 1979 episode. Zap2it listed the 9:00pm episode as Christmas Eve 1979, even though that one was wrong.

You guys are all going off-track sometimes. This thread is for GSN schedules, not "let's go over a series' episode guide". Take those to their respective threads.

Yep, as expected on now is ep. #437 of Perry's CS from January 2, 1980. We are officially in such year now.
Ha ha, G2T2 came out with an icepack, just like on the first show of 1979.

And this is one major advantage the Perry version had. Because there was no Poll Group and no Car Game, they were usually able to squeeze in one Money Cards playing in every episode, sometimes even two. Unlike Eubanks and Rafferty.

Some Bob Eubanks-hosted episodes had two playings of the Money Cards, even during a time where there were audience poll questions and car game. In fact, some episodes had two playings of the Money Cards and two playings of the car game - particularly the December 19, 1986 and June 3, 1987 episodes - despite having audience poll questions.
I did realize that Jim Perry would whiz through the questions, and some episodes would go through about ten, maybe eleven questions, in a single episode, while Bob Eubanks would go through no more than eight questions during any given episode - because Bob Eubanks was going through too much interaction. I am not sure if the "quick gameplay" on Perry's run was due to standards and practices at NBC.
It may be possible that some CBS game shows may have involved too much interaction, but at least on The Price is Right today, the gameplay and interaction between contestants and cast members tend to move much quicker during a recording session, unlike when Bob Barker hosted.

Two Vegas episodes from 1976-77, the first one had $10K in cash in the Big Deal and the other one had Pat Guffey win two cars in the Big Deal.

Thanks. My recording cut out in the middle of the first episode.

No longer seeing Divided in the midnight slot on weekdays. Not gonna lie, that makes me kind of sad. Of course its replacement is Harvey Feud. What else is new?

The first-run episodes of Divided have run their course. I guess the ratings weren't there for them to stick the reruns somewhere on the schedule. Of course Idiotest isn't on the current schedule either.

Hmmm... with Idiotest and Divided off the schedule, it makes me wonder if there will be some new original game shows in the coming months?
I know Cover Story is a new series launching on January 14. I know the first edition profiles Michael Larson. I wonder if there will be future editions? Maybe focusing on 1950s game show rigging scandals, or Bob Barker's controversy?
To the best of my knowledge, it seems as if there have been no new originals since Mark Feldman and Fran Shea took over as President/CEO and programming director respectively. Just a recent acquisition of Chris Harrison's Millionaire, but that's about it - unless I missed something.

They're thinking that GSN wants to easily acquire footage of the story before making an episode.

Is there a schedule change coming up? I can't access the week of January 15. Where are you looking? I think some sites are having problems.
