Replaced with, wait for it... more Harvey Feud. Reminder that Sunday Feb 4 is Super Bowl Sunday. I'll say nothing further to avoid speculation.

Considering all the negative responses about the show, I figured people would be glad to have Cover Story gone. If the "antichrist" gets the spot, then all the sudden I guess I'm wrong.

I thought the first Cover Story with Press Your Luck was okay. The Meghan Markle one was just stupid in my mind. I just simply don't care. By the way, didn't we fight for independence so we wouldn't have to care about a royal wedding?
Next week's Cover Story is slightly intriguing. I might tune in (not recording it all, but might check it out). The best thing about these Cover Stories is the Shatner clip shows that follow. I've never seen the second edition so I'm looking forward to that.
Of course, we'll see if the Super Bowl theory comes to fruition.

I wouldn't call the responses to Cover Story negative, per se. Sure, the Larson episode was just a re-hash of the previous special. I had no interest in the Markle story. But as was mentioned, this week's episode looks interesting. I hope GSN doesn't gauge the reactions of just the first two episodes as a decision factor for the entire show.

Credit where credit is due. I know it's just a coincidence after my complaint of GSN not fixing glitches in their airings, but yesterday's airing of 25K Pyramid #693, which previously had the entire end segment credit crunched, aired perfectly this time. At least they fixed something.

The next victim of the Saturday night block appears to be Jim Perry's Card Sharks. Here is the post from Game Show Follies
"The flip side of Buzzr's upcoming modern night on Friday is GSN's oldies night on Saturday. GSN will change things up a little on Saturday February 10 with runs of Wally Bruner's What's My Line and Steve Allen's I've Got a Secret instead of Card Sharks. My guess (pure speculation!) is that the numbers for the oldies block ain't so hot. GSN has already trimmed an hour off the block, and they may be trying other shows in a last effort to draw some viewers."
And Eubanks is in it's 4th rotation on weekdays? Yeah, I'm not too happy about that.

No. Please no. I've been liking the Jim Perry version more recently.
On the plus side, anything 1968-1975 WML is almost never played on GSN these days.

Yeah, although my guess is (along with the IGAS episode) it will be a repeat of what aired last December. As to why they'd use those shows as a last ditch effort for the block is beyond me. Although, 1972 I've Got A Secret (which I'm assuming it is) is a great Saturday night program. Still, I'm just a little miffed that Perry's version gets the shaft again while Eubanks keeps getting multiple rotations in the morning. Oh well, I'm just gonna have to grow up and get over it.

Maybe they ran out of Perry episodes to air, or lost the rights to them? It seems like this block is basically burning off stuff they have the rights to that wasn't being aired regularly.

I think the block is simply a dud in the ratings. Although I do agree it was just a spot to burn off stuff that wasn't on the schedule. Still, I honestly don't see the block lasting any longer (I'm actually surprised it's lasted this long). I'm not sure. How many episodes were encompassed in the last least of Jim Perry's Card Sharks? It seems there's more than that, but then again, I really don't know.

Too bad. Maybe Buzzr will be getting fresh eps when they rotate out Rafferty version with Perry's version
