According to Randy West, the seminal panel show appears to be prepping for a comeback, and there's even a pic from a set being constructed to prove it. No word yet, however, on any potential buyer. In television terms, Line was last heard from around 2000-ish when CBS passed up a Harry Anderson-hosted pilot in favor of a little thing called Survivor. Aside from that, the granddaddy of all panel shows has been dormant for nearly forty years, since the end of the last Larry Blyden season in 1975 and the subsequent twenty-fifth anniversary special not long after the syndie formally wrapped. We'll see if this revival gets anywhere, if a revival is really happening. Anyway, Google News turns up a recent oddball reference to Martin Gabel of WML legend. Turns out he directed a 1947 movie version of Henry James' The Aspern Papers, called The Lost Moment. The movie flopped, and Gabel went on to guess people's jobs on TV along with his wife.
