GSN can not show Treasure Hunt again because of music clearances but they did show it back in late 07. And they did not want to show Peter Marshall's Hollywood Squares again because nobody 'ever heard' of the celebrities that were on that show, I don't understand that. Match Game also had many celebrities that nobody ever heard of. I would argue that Match Game feels a lot more modern because of their willingness to push the envelope with regards to standards and practices, whereas Hollywood Squares feels more like a product of it’s time, a standard issue 1960’s era sitcom. I’m not sure it’s fair to say no one has ever heard of any of the celebrities that frequented Peter Marshall HS, but I think it’s definitely fair to say that with the exception of Paul Linde most of them had a lot less personality.

Pyramid with Dick Clark had celebs of way less caliber than Marshall Squares, so I'm not buying that excuse GSN came up with.

On the subject of Hollywood Squares, GSN aired the Peter Marshall episodes after they were discovered and also the Tom Bergeron revival at different times, but the John Davidson syndicated version from the 80’s with Joan Rivers and Alf has rarely if ever re-aired since being cancelled, is there a specific reason why that version has been MIA forever?

Especially when you consider that Marshall's Squares and any of Gene Rayburn's Match Game used the same exact pool of celebrities with many appearing on both shows.

Buzzr can not show any of the Pyramids(Cullen version, Clark version, (John)Davidson version and Donny Osmond's version of it)because they're not Fremantle shows but GSN did. And is it true Cullen's version is gone?

Cullen's version is owned by CBS Television Distribution. They all exist.
Davidson's version, I don't know. The syndicator is now owned by Universal Television, and I suspect something unfortunate may have happened to that version in the 2008 fire, especially after it came out that Universal covered up missing music masters.

MGM most likely owns the back tapes of Marshall and Davidson Squares. In 2002, GSN had to go through MGM to get the Marshall Squares episodes.

Was Bill Cullen's version a weekend version of the Pyramid or something like that?

I'd love it but I'm not a Prime member. I love some Australian game shows but it would hard for Buzzr to get the rights to those from Fremantle.

Buzzr can not get The Dating Game because of music clearances and it's not a Fremantle show anyway. GSN showed it after Jim Lange died and that's about it.
