I see Buzzr showed an episode of Eubanks Card Sharks this week along with a fresh episode of He Said She Said for the Buzzr Brackets week. Yep. The Eubanks' Card Sharks episode was #031, originally aired on February 17, 1986. I also read on Facebook that said series will start airing regularly on Buzzr in April. Unless there is official confirmation by Buzzr, I expect it to be nothing but a Zach Horan claim. BUZZR's not necessarily airing the Eubanks-hosted CBS Daytime version of Card Sharks regularly in April. They are, however, airing Eubanks Sharks during one week in April as part of a "special" called "Cark Sharks Week." It's another opportunity for fans to win prizes. BUZZR announced it in their spring newsletter. us10.campaign-archive1.com/?u=d29a86147dadf1b53ada0cd5b&id=fe6f432be2&e=234c1ac31a Sign up for the newsletter at buzzrplay.com and you'll be able to read about certain upcoming specials or promotions.

I still don't have this channel, but it's nice to see that Buzzr will be airing some episodes of Bob Eubanks' Card Sharks next month. I don't know what episodes will be airing, but I hope it's not the same episodes that GSN has been airing for the last year and a half.

I can bet my bottom dollar that Buzzr's airings of Eubanks' Card Sharks will not be the same episodes from GSN's current lease, which encompasses late-October 1986 through mid-May 1987. I have a strong feeling it may be 1986 non-car game era episodes. I wonder if this special week of episodes may be aired in honor of the 38th anniversary of the inaugural debut of Card Sharks?

Has anyone been recording every episode of Trebek's Double Dare since it started airing on Buzzr? Have they skipped any episodes?

Has anyone been recording every episode of Trebek's Double Dare since it started airing on Buzzr? Have they skipped any episodes? I have since Buzzr doesn't tamper with the episodes like GSN does, and I haven't noticed any skips yet. Even with the occasional preemption for special programming. The real test will be once they get to that point in March 1977 where GSN had skipped a bunch of episodes. I'm wondering if GSN possibly just skipped them so we could see the finale or if those episodes are missing. I'm betting it's the former. I guess we'll find out eventually. Also according to a promo, Buzzr will air the week's worth of Eubanks CS starting April 25th.

The reason I asked is because when GSN ran the program in 2008, they skipped episodes #28 and #29. These were last shown some 20 years ago. Episodes #28-#31 were as follows: Richard vs. Julie Joan vs. Julie Ray vs. Joan Lyn vs. Ray

So, did Episode #S-022 of $ale of the Century finally make it to air on Buzzr yet? Or did Buzzr skip it like they did with #S-008?

The only person we know who has those skipped Syndicated episodes is salephreak. gsparadise.proboards.com/thread/850/sale-century-discussion?q=videotapeEDIT: Now they are showing Bob/Deborah/Nick, which was skipped by GSN in the past (#026).

I guess the disappointment of skipping #S-022 was made up for after all. I have a hunch it was some tape problems that made #S-022 unairable after USA aired it only once. Maybe the tape was eventually thrown out, perhaps?

^ I doubt the episode was discarded years after the fact. It's possible that if an episode is damaged or the tape is deteriorated enough (like what seems to be the case here) that new broadcasters or people that prepare the shows for air choose not to air it because they don't want to possibly damage their own video equipment in the conversion process.
I thought this was amazing. Yesterday, Buzzr showed an episode of Child's Play with Anne-Marie Johnson as one of the contestants. Then immediately after that, Body Language came on and Butch Hartman, the creator of the Fairly OddParents, was a contestant on that show.
So this, Card Sharks, and the Body Language pilot... Child's Play marks Anne-Marie's third game show appearance as a contestant that I've noticed.

I sometimes wonder if Buzzr is getting different copies of certain episodes compared to GSN? Their copy of episode #085 of Press Your Luck had a huge visual hiccup in the intro that never existed on GSN's copy. What are your thoughts on this?

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure. I'd have to look at the episode again to see what you mean.
Maybe Fremantle is converting shows to a new format with Buzzr and the tape had a tracking issue?
I don't know for sure, but that could be a plausible theory at best.

I think Buzzr's copies may likely come from some form of masters. Not sure if it's repeat masters or studio masters.
It may be possible that GSN's copies of Press Your Luck may have been from the CBS copies.
I think, except for a small number of episode skips, GSN took much better care of Press Your Luck than USA Network did - so far.

Based on the what happened with the editing (or lack thereof) of the end of episode #43, I'd be willing to bet Buzzr is working with the original master tapes since they're owned by Fremantle, who owns the material.

I just saw a second promo that was made for the Eubanks Card Sharks week and based on the clips used in it, the episodes being shown look to be from the first week or two of 1986. The first episode itself proper is clearly seen. Not sure if there's going to be anything outside of that.
