Besides Saturday Morning cartoons being gone from TV I have been noticing that game shows aimed at kids and teens are no longer being made or shown anymore and I would like to know what the reason is? Is it because kids game shows have gone out of style or is kids game shows being replaced by other weekend programming for kids and teens? Because ever since the demise of Saturday Morning cartoons it is becoming so hard to find kids game shows on TV and anywhere. Take for instance in the 80's and 90's there were a lot of game shows for kids and teens starting in 1983 when The Disney Channel created Contraption and then in 1989 The Disney Channel launched Teen Win Lose Or Draw and in the 90's they had Mad Libs and Over The Wall and ever since Disney cancelled the Win Lose Or Draw remake game shows for kids are no longer seen on The Disney Channel. Another channel that no longer has shown interest in kids game shows is Nickelodeon and ever since the demise of Webheads and BrainSurge and the Figure It Out remake Nickelodeon focuses more on cartoons and live-action shows than game shows. I can remember when Nickelodeon was the king of kids game shows and Double Dare was really huge for Nickelodeon at the time and then they had Finders Keepers Out Of Control Make The Grade and in the 90's Nickelodeon had Nick Arcade Get The Picture What Would You Do? Wild And Crazy Kids and Legends Of The Hidden Temple and Double Dare 2000 and it surprises me that Nickelodeon has no more game shows. And not only did kids game shows disappear from cable but also from CBS as well and I remember when CBS had The Cryptkeeper's Haunted House and the kids version of Wheel Of Fortune called Wheel 2000 and it was so cool. But ever since Merv Griffin created Click and Peer Pressure game shows for kids and teens have lost their novelty now. Does anyone think that game shows for kids and teens have disappeared from Saturday Morning TV and do you think that game shows for kids and teens will make a comeback?
