So, I've been thinking that I might be a little too over-the-top in the rules. For those of you who've joined before reading, or have never read them, I'll link to them here and give you a quote from them; that being:
Everything in this quote should be read, but I wanted to point your collective attentions to the last bullet point. And that's really the main focus of this whole thread. Because I've been having second and third thoughts on this as of late.
My thoughts are simple: I'm almost considering removing warning levels after some time, based on good behavior.
Why is that? Well, read on.
Because I think that everyone eventually finds a good leaf on a bad tree, I guess. In all fairness, removing warnings for not being a dick (to be frank, really) after a while would be a good thing. Depending on when the earliest offense was - and I'll have to talk to the staff team about each person on a case-by-case basis - you could get dropped down to no percentages. And wouldn't that be fun?!?
So, I'm turning it to you. Reply and tell me what you think. I'm posting this on the Facebook/Discord as well, but only to ask that you post here with your thoughts. I'm not going to take every comment in every social media site we're on.
¤ Game Show Paradise's warning system is pretty easy to understand. Failure to abide by the rules and find ways past the warning system will result in... You guessed it. Warnings and bans. Here is the cheat sheet when it comes to warnings, suggested by thekid965.
First Offense: 10% warning given.
Second Offense: Warning raised to 25%; ban of 24 hours.
Third Offense: Warning raised to 50%; ban of three days.
Fourth Offense: Warning raised to 100%; ban of one week.
Fifth Offense: Permanent ban from the forum.
¤ Depending on the severity of the first offense, the 10% warning may be bypassed to go straight to a full day's ban. If this is the case, the warning notes will explain why the staff feel like this was needed.
¤ If you receive a warning, and your level is increased, it will not be removed.
