According to my cable guide, the show will still air at 7:30pm (ET). Way to go, FOX 61.

We'll see if the show keeps that access hour slot for the second season. There have already been some timeslot shifts, and the usually reliable Paige Albiniak at B&C predicts more shifts out of the access hour this fall. At least the show has survived.

Okay, something weird happened on the most recent airing here. I don't know if this particular episode has aired everywhere, so I'm putting this in spoilers. While everyone, including Jamie-Lynn Sigler (the only star I remember) was celebrating a jackpot win, Craig lost his mic, unknown to him, so they had to subtitle his ending spiel. They even showed that he lost his mic, just to let you know...

I love what happened on an episode I watched last night from last week. There was a really fun moment last week when one contestant won the $20,000 all by himself and Craig decided for a second to pull a little Ray Combs moment and trick the other player into thinking they did terrible.

Yes, that was incredible! I know Ray Combs was around very briefly when Craig moved to the US, but how in the world did Craig get any idea of who Ray Combs was? Better yet, how come we had only heard of Craig in the past 10+ years?

Here's some awesome news for all you Celebrity Name Game fans, Today it has been announced that Celebrity Name Game will also air on Pop TV {Formerly TV Guide Network} and will air every day at 3:00PM PT. When I discovered that Pop TV started carrying Celebrity Name Game I got so surprised because I had never seen game shows on Pop TV before, Kelsey

Will a board game version of Celebrity Name Game be released this fall in time for Christmas? Because with Celebrity Name Game beginning a new season I think a board game version of Celebrity Name Game would be so fun to play, Kelsey

Did Celebrity Name Game change it's bonus round? Because I saw part of a repeat of Celebrity Name Game and noticed that the bonus round is different. In it the teams are supposed to guess the celebrity words and Hollywood related words in a letter puzzle like game. Because from I've seen of Celebrity Name Game in the old bonus round the winning team had to identify celebrity pictures in a timed format. Is this new bonus round one of the improvements in Celebrity Name Game's new season?, Kelsey

In it the teams are supposed to guess the celebrity words and Hollywood related words in a letter puzzle like game. From what I've seen, that's actually Round 3 the round where, as Craig would say " I'M gonna be the clue giver!" The bonus round is still the same.

I posted this on Facebook a while back but I thought it was worth sharing here.
I had a little Pyramid marathon on New Year's Eve morning and when I watch the show, one thing continues to stand out. It amazes me that Celebrity Name Game took the most hated aspect of the Pyramid main game and turned it into something fun. One of the Pyramid episodes I saw had a category about "famous people married to other famous people" and the players looked like they had no idea what to do with themselves, and that happened a lot. Celebrities like Loretta Swit, one of the show's better players, for example joking "we changed our minds!" after choosing that kind of category to play. I even remember an episode with a category joking about how difficult guessing celebrity names are, basically because guessing names isn't like guessing a simple word or phrase; if someone doesn't know the famous person you're talking about, you're often screwed.
But the entire concept of CNG is full of guessing famous names/characters in a matter of seconds similar to the Pyramid main game and even in spite of someone not knowing a name or someone who stumbles upon someone and they have no clue how to play the name, it's not "OMG WHY ARE WE GUESSING NAMES!?!"... it's the opposite: it's still a huge blast and loads of fun for the people on the show to play. This was an observation I had while marathoning both this show and Pyramid a while back.

Does anyone know how many episodes of CNG were taped for season 2?
The 100th episode of the season aired just yesterday (#280 overall), and it is going back into reruns again for the foreseeable future. Either they are saving lots of episodes for the summer, or they taped far fewer than season 1 (180).
