I wonder what light indicators were used for Summer Fun on Wheels Week? They may have been the red light X's in use from March to August 1988. Don't know how the commercial timing was handled.

THe two out of three format usually had a commercial break after two or four turns were had, or after the first match was made.

Was there some sort of requirement that Gene had to say things like "Because neither contestant solved the puzzle, it was replaced and the program edited."?

Gene did say that at the end of the show on some episodes of CC, so it might well have been a requirement

If Alex Trebek breaks down the puzzle solving after neither contestant can solve the puzzle when all the numbers are revealed, how can neither contestant still solve the puzzle after Alex has practically broken down the whole puzzle???

I've seen that happen before once, in which case, there might be a sudden death tiebreaker with a replacement puzzle at the ready.

The opening rebus in episode 220 of Classic Concentration is the same exact opening rebus used in episode 50. In an unrelated note, can anyone guess the episode number of CC I am currently watching?

The opening rebus in episode 220 of Classic Concentration is the same exact opening rebus used in episode 50. In an unrelated note, can anyone guess the episode number of CC I am currently watching? As I moved forward after CC episode #220, I have noticed that the opening rebus puzzle in each subsequent episode (i.e., episodes greater than 220) is a rebus that is repeated from an earlier episode. I am tracking all of the episode #'s with duplicates, and I will post a full list in the near future. The primary pattern is that the rebus from exactly 170 episodes prior is re-used, but I have seen at least one exception so far.

The Toby/Sandra 1:30 airing of CC I think has been on YouTube in the past, and was on the trading circuit

It has? I don’t remember. Was it original broadcast or rerun?

The second game in the first episode of today's CC got down to five squares left on the board before the Time's Up bell sounded, and a rarity of CC in that the second game in the second episode had the board cleared before the Time's Up bell sounded.

I noticed something: Alex didn't plug the upcoming Summer Fun on Wheels Week. He may have plugged it on the following episode (which will be skipped), or on any of the contestant plugs for the week that Buzzr cut.

A Jeopardy reference was made on one of today's episodes.

I believe Gene won a car (don't know what it was, maybe splinkynip knows?) in Game 2's Winner's Circle in #0289, and Margie in Game 1 and Jody in Game 2 both each earned a strike, with Margie being out.
