The show is gone from GSN's schedule for April 6-12, too. I just posted the updated pdf on Game Show Follies. Have no idea what's happening. I would speculate some disagreement over the lease, but that's just a guess.

Comments left at the post on Buzzerblog's FB page say that it's because non-lottery states can't see lottery-type game shows. GSN had no choice but to yank it. I don't think GSN knew about that "rule".

No wonder I no longer see Monopoly Millionaires Club commercials on GSN during Catch 21 anymore. Because it surprises me that GSN had such high hopes for Monopoly Millionaires Club but I think GSN removed it because they had put it on early in the morning and a noon slot would've been better. I noticed Monopoly Millionaires Club being gone from the GSN schedule when I was reserving LMAD and I found The Chase instead in Monopoly Millionaires Club's timeslot. Will this also mean that Monopoly Millionaires Club will be no longer seen in syndication as well?, Kelsey

Will this also mean that Monopoly Millionaires Club will be no longer seen in syndication as well? I said "GSN", not "syndication". If your state has the lottery, this show will air. If not, you're not getting it.

Odd though...shouldn't GSN have been (made) aware of such an issue when they decided to pick up the show?

"Comments left at the post on Buzzerblog's FB page say that it's because non-lottery states can't see lottery-type game shows."
First I heard of that. The show would be a rerun on GSN, anyway, not connected to live lottery games in any state. As another poster noted, wouldn't GSN have known about such issues long ago?
I really have no idea why GSN pulled the show, and I doubt that BuzzerBlog commenters have any real information, either.

The point is that GSN is not a broadcaster. Since the cable network is not using the public airways - the FCC's supposed reason for existence, as tenuous as I think it is - I have no idea if these anti-gambling regulations would apply to GSN.

I don't think GSN knew about that "rule". Yeah I don't think so either, since GSN thought that $180,000 win on the chase was the biggest win in gsn history. granted everybody wants to forget that $250K win, but it's a part of gsn history even if they won't admit it

Yeah I don't think so either, since GSN thought that $180,000 win on the chase was the biggest win in gsn history. That big quiz tournament a while back (the hell was the name of it?) - was that for bragging rights or prize money?

GSN's 2007 quiz tournament was Grand Slam. The winner-take-all prize was $100,000 plus the coveted Grand Slam crystal trophy.
The 2003 British original required an entry fee (1000 pounds), not entirely unlike Monopoly Millionaire, which requires a lottery purchase.
