GSN is moving the conclusion Hellevator up a week by airing a 2-hour finale on Wednesday, December 9th (therefore, Hellevator will not end December 16th). It looks like GSN really wants to free the schedule of Hellevator sooner than later.

It looks like GSN really wants to free the schedule of Hellevator sooner than later. GSN has reversed the above decision. GSN will only air one episode of Hellevator at 8pm ET on December 9th (for the little of us who care- Hellevator has really faded out fast). PDF's up at GameShowNetworkNews

I've seen the previews for this show and to me GSN wanted to join in on the horror movie genre as horror movies have been making a popular comeback and with many people being fans of horror movies and shows this show fits right on target I also noticed something surprising that i'm shocked that Disney hopefully didn't notice this when this show was made. This show seems to gotten inspired by Disney's Twlight Zone Tower Of Terror ride and I think that this show might be the first of a series of horror reality shows that GSN will add in the future and keep in mind other channels like Chiller might have horror reality shows as well too, Kelsey

... I think that this show might be the first of a series of horror reality shows that GSN will add in the future I'm going to say "no" to this statement. There is no way there is going to be a Halloween show every year on GSN's schedule. I'd rather see the themed episodes of the mid-2000s shows (or new versions of the shows they already have).

This show would have been a lot better airing in September and October, rather than airing it from the middle of October to the beginning of December. Like I said, the game isn't bad, but it was B-grade cheese and got old fast.
By December, people are tired of horror cheese unless they are horror movie buffs in general (also known as serial killers in training).

Link: Netflix September 2016 Movie and TV Titles Announced [Coming Soon] Stuff being added is categorized by date, then by title. Looks like they're preparing for the Halloween season. You know how you can tell? Because you see "Hellevator: Season 1" under shows being added Thursday.

Netflix had the syndicated Don't Forget the Lyrics! available for streaming a few years back (listed as "Season 3", counting the network run as 1-2), so there's precedent for game shows.
(I remember watching the episode listed as S3E01. It sucked.)

GSN decided it would be best if they posted 02x01 of Hellevator on YouTube. The whole damn episode.
