The 1am episode on January 2, 2024 that GameTV aired was basically nothing new, it was episode 4591D that was seen earlier at 1:30pm on New Year's Day.
If we expect new episodes to drop on GameTV for TPIR, April 2024 seems to be a good target.

Game TV did indeed start with day 4 of the Tic Tac Dough over 80 tournament again today. Does anyone know how I can watch day 3?

Bumper Stumpers went back to the first episode of season 1 on Monday.

^ So did they get to complete Season 3? And if they did, did they air part of Season 4?
Either way, I think it's better to revert back to Season 1 of the series, as that season had the best bonus round format ever. I never cared for the subsequent versions of the bonus round. Plus, Season 1 has not been shown in years, so I think it's a really nice treat.

They cycled through the last few weeks of season 2 and the first few weeks of season 3 twice and then went back to season 1.

I am thinking Fall 2024 for fresh classic episodes of TPIR. Almost every time GameTV leases about three months' worth of episodes of any show, they usually air at least three or four cycles before fresh episodes come. Rare exceptions were Break the Bank and the initial batch of Press Your Luck.
April may seem more likely for fresh Match Game, to say the least.
Also, regarding Season 5 of Bergeron's Hollywood Squares, how many episodes from that season did they acquire at first?

Break the Bank was an exception due to its short run (April to July 1976)

From GameTV’s web schedule, Tic Tac Dough jumps to season 3 on Feb 21 Their schedule is weird. It's still season 2 but it's the 1980 portion of season 2. They did the same thing last time through. I don't know why it does that.

Will be interesting what they will do after Thom McKee. I have no idea which episode GSN was showing when they jumped to Season 6 in October 1997. I'm not even sure if the rest of Season 3, and 4 & 5 were converted.

For the first 3 years of GSN, it was always been the first 2 seasons of TJW, TTD and J! looping continuously. WOF was the first and 5th seasons looping continuously in the meantime. Many of us didn't know the Shopping format was still present early in its 5th season. One market's WOF broadcast order went for example: #791-#795(The Battle of the Sexes), #787, #785, #790, etc.

Keep in mind that February 21 this year is a Wednesday, not a Monday. GameTV did display Season 3 on the schedule in the past, but they actually still aired Season 2.
Besides, it would be quite unusual for GameTV to start fresh episodes of a classic show on a Wednesday and not a Monday.

If it did so in the past then yes season 3 is actually the 1980 half of season 2. I have to clarify that I recently got the channel back after six months so I missed out on the episodes from after the Over 80 tournament and wasn’t up to speed on that show and ditto with Pyramid after the fifth tournament. The next drop of Tic Tac Dough begins with the Feb 8, 1980 episode, getting close to the run of Doc Fass

The link is no longer active but I was able to see the third day of the Over 80 tournament last summer from the GSN broadcast when it was on Internet Archive. Was there any other season 2 episodes that GameTV had skipped to note?
