Also, I noticed in the last couple of weeks, there is an updated bumper during GameTV's retro block. The bumper shows footage from The $100,000 Pyramid, Match Game, Press Your Luck and maybe The Newlywed Game, but no footage from Super Password nor Wipeout. Considering that Press Your Luck is seen in the bumper, along with the three aforementioned shows in the bumper, this is probably a good sign that this 80s cult classic, along with the others in the promo, will be enjoying a healthy run on GameTV.

Don't you mean to say "not a good sign"?

My impression was that if a show didn't get much, if any, promotion with footage in bumpers, then it would be shown the door.
Apologies if I'm confused here.

Regarding yesterday's airing of Press Your Luck, there is evidence that GameTV is airing episodes aired by Buzzr. Yesterday's airing was the January 17, 1984 episode which had a noticeable tape glitch during the flashback intro, which wasn't prevalent in GSN's copy.
Nice to see the launch of fresh Whammy animations, by the way.

Tuned in to GameTV just now. It looks like GameTV's lease of Press Your Luck is just 85 episodes (the minimum for off-network syndication), as they reverted back to the 1983 premiere today.
So it looks like it's one less show to record for many weeks (or months). At least there's Wipeout to record on a daily basis.

Curious what the status of Match Game 75 is. If you know.

I can confirm the contestants do have name tags. That I do know. As for the remainder of questions from the previous two posts, I will have to check out my recording later today, as I am currently at work right now. The contestant had nametags for the first four weeks of the shows' run. The contestants' names started being on the podium four weeks into the run, on the same episode they started having returning champions if the car was not won on the previous show. Airdate for those changes was 10/10/1988 The October 10, 1988 episode aired on GameTV yesterday, and I can confirm the name tags are still being worn on the players' chests. No name tags on the podiums yet, but should be pretty soon, as the players' names were displayed on their podiums by the Halloween episode.

I checked yesterday’s recording of Wipeout. I was expecting it to be the Halloween episode, but it turns out it is a normal episode, but with Peter Tomarken showing off a detached car door around his neck as comic relief, then mentioning at the start of the show that the returning champions format is established. Also, I don't see any more contestants' name tags on their chests.
Do you suppose some of the earliest episodes were held off until after the series finale aired, in the same fashion as Bill Rafferty's Card Sharks? I mean, the series obviously didn't premiere in late-July or August, as that would be an awkward period to launch a syndicated game show.
The only way we will now know the exact airdates is if GameTV airs the Halloween episode in the future.

Checked my recording of Wipeout last night. It appears that the players' name tags are not shown on the podiums, a station wagon is the week's featured car, and the category of the first round was "Unreal People" which i recall from the October 8 airing. It appears that GameTV reverted back to the premiere yesterday, and this also implies, yet again, a 40-episode lease. It seems as if there's a trend that game shows airing at 1:00 p.m. ET tend to always be limited to 40-episode leases. The All-New Let's Make a Deal was in that predicament, and most likely the last broadcasts of Bumper Stumpers. Those shows lasted only a short time.
I have a feeling Wipeout will be dropped in the new year.

Curious what the status of Match Game 75 is. If you know. I tuned in to GameTV's retro block last Wednesday just to see if anything fresh occurred. Match Game 75 has aired for over half a year now, and I can confirm that last Wednesday's airing was from the week of March 17-21, 1975. Since GameTV's lease does contain April 1975, it is likely possible that the number of episodes is likely the same as with Press Your Luck, which would be 85 episodes - the minimum number of episodes required for off-network syndication for an extended lease. I don't know how the Super Password lease works, since that is 65 episodes, and as of right now, we're nearing the point of reverting back for that one.
Either way, we are more than halfway through the limited run of Match Game 75 as of right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the leases to Match Game 75, Super Password and Press Your Luck are for one year, to say the least. If I recall, GameTV did air Season 42 of TPIR a few years back, and that aired on a daily basis, later extending to Saturdays and Sundays - airing on GameTV for just one year. We shall see what happens with the retro lineup next June and July.

An interesting development going on at GameTV this week. Apparently, the retro block has been expanded to four hours per day as of this past Tuesday. The noticeable change occurs right after Press Your Luck - that's when Bumper Stumpers airs two back-to-back episodes, before Dick Clark closes out the block with The $100,000 Pyramid. If I recall, they did do the same thing in November 2017, and replaced by Sherwood's The Dating Game around February 2018 as a placeholder. I am wondering if Bumper Stumpers will only be for a limited time, and two fresh classics may be coming this summer? Should be a very interesting few months ahead. Sale of the Century coming, dare I hope?
The episode numbers listed for tomorrow's Bumper Stumpers airings are, if i recall, #2107 and #2108. I'm going to try to remember to watch them tomorrow evening, though I may not record them.

As far as I know, GameTV has no online stream. Even still, if you're in the U.S., you may not be able to view it, unless you're in Detroit or somewhere close to the Canadian border. Also, I tried to record Bumper Stumpers last Friday, but apparently, supposedly very recently, recordings of material on GameTV are blocked on my DVD recorder. So this means I can no longer record material aired on GameTV. I sure hope GSN doesn't follow suit - at least not before GSN drops pre-2000 programming entirely - or I may have no choice other than to downgrade my cable package.
Bumper Stumpers is into Season 2, with the best two-out-of-three matches and the double or nothing end game format. It appears they are midway through that second season. When GameTV gets around to airing the third and final end game format, it's really going to be disappointing.
