With the 1976-1977 Season of Match Game PM now complete, thanks to Buzzr showing episode #074, we now have the definitive Bonus Round results for all 39 episodes. When it comes to game show statistics, I like covering Bonus Round wins/losses. The top $10,000 grand prize was won 10 times all Season long. Worth noting, too, that Jo Ann Pflug was the only celebrity to give away big money besides Richard Dawson that season.

One week of Match Game '90 (March 04-08, 1991) had a woman named Erin O'Connor on the panel. Obviously, it wasn't the British actress, who was born in 1978, so I wonder what was our American Erin O'Connor known for? UPDATE: I'm guessing THIS is the Erin O'Connor in question. www.cleancomedychallenge.com/the-challenge-blog/erin-oconnor

I'm watching the 1pm episode of Match Game on GSN right now and I'm surprised this episode is still allowed to be aired. In it, Fannie Flag wore a jacket with an interesting shirt underneath. That shirt had a logo of the confederate flag on it. Obviously that's not acceptable these days, but I'm surprised GSN is letting this episode air with Fannie wearing that shirt. I don't know if they could've tried to blur that out, but that's not a good look if you ask me.

pyramidfan why did the April 15-19, 1991 week of Match Game '91 only have four shows? Where was the postponement?

pyramidfan why did the April 15-19, 1991 week of Match Game '91 only have four shows? Where was the postponement? I have a theory about that. On the supposed March 29th episode (a Friday), the panel plays an April Fool’s joke on Ross Shafer, even though April 1st would be the following Monday. To me, that means that they knew that episode would actually air on Monday and not the originally scheduled Friday. My guess is that the Gulf War must have caused a preemption sometime earlier in the year, and maybe the show didn’t bother doing a short week to get back on a M-F schedule until they were sure that there wouldn’t be further preemptions. (My recollection is that the conflict was pretty much resolved by mid-April.)

What about Vikki Carr sitting in for Susan Norfleet during the week of May 27, 1991? Did that actually happen, and were there other instances of panel substitutions during some weeks on this version?

For Match Game PM, did they always just tape six episodes with the celebrities. Five for the week and then a p.m. episode? I can't imagine they would tape them separately. So basically if you watched Match Game 77 during a week, on the weekend when p.m. aired it would be the same celebrities right? Or no?
Were they bicycled like the syndicated Match Game was?

Yes, they were bicycled. These ones had four shows taped: PM #01-#04; #05-#08, #09-#12, #156-#159, and #160-#163. For #057-#058, they were taped on the same day as CBS #0846-#0849. Everything else had one PM episode taped with CBS shows.

I've finished reading the celebrity listing for the original The Match Game from the 1960's in Adam Nedeff's book.
I've got nothing against Adam Nedeff, but I'm hoping he didn't use Ben Hallums for some of the weeks. Some of the weeks sounded quite suspicious, including October 21-25, 1968 (Kathy Garver listed) and the final week (Brian Keith listed).

Were episodes recorded for the show between the end of April and September to air during that time or did they go to reruns until the syndicated version debuted?

Only one week of shows in the 1978-79 season of MGPM had a panel that didn't appear on CBS MG79, a week that taped on May 12, 1979, as per the Match Game Mark Goodson Wiki, and that includes the four total and partial weeks that taped but never aired on CBS nationally until GSN aired them in Summer 2001.

So they got together and recorded one 30-minute episode?

So they got together and recorded one 30-minute episode? They recorded four episodes on May 12th and four more on May 13th. The final seven of those were seen in the fall. They all had different panels, though some of the celebrities appeared on back-to-back episodes -- similar to how the first batches of PM sessions were structured.
