I have 1029 and 1030 in my private collection.
1029 contains the Haley's Navy Blooper.

I have two questions:
1) When on the Skips Guide it says, "in the archive", whose archive would that be?
2) Does anyone know why Jimmie Walker cleared his appearance for the CBS episodes but not the later syndicated ones?

"In the Archive" means that someone contacted Fremantle in London to confirm whether or not these episodes are listed in their catalog and not considered "lost". it's unclear why Jimmy Walker episodes from the Strip Syndie version were skipped by GSN when they had the rights to the G/T Library. However, when they started leasing shows/batches of episodes after they chose to not renew the entire G/T Library, some of the JW eps were shown on GSN later from Season 1. Who knows if they would've gotten to more later if they chose to lease more eps. Hopefully Buzzr will start airing this version of MG soon and we'll see....

Another question about skipped episodes, particularly the PM episodes: Why is it if a celebrity doesn't clear their appearances for a particular show that none of the episodes on that tape can be seen?

103 - Wesley Eure, BS, CNR, DS, Bob Barker, MW Reason: Vulgar/Offensive Humor: Unknown if episode exists. It has never aired on GSN Hope this is helpful to everybody -MGP I have been going through MGP's "Match Game Synd. Episodes" playlist on YT, and I believe this should be episode 104. The playlist includes 103 (but not 104), and the game play across the week matches with 104 as the skipped episode.

Updates to the skips guide: 103 and 104 (one of them is the skip in question, likely to be 104) are on the source code of Buzzr's schedule for Feb 2. Episode 62 was seen on Jan 20. Were there any edits by Buzzr during the Star Wheel segment or in other parts of that episode?

Were there any edits by Buzzr during the Star Wheel segment or in other parts of that episode? These are actually episodes 48 and 49. I have made this same mistake in reading BUZZR's episode # designations for MG Syndicated. The most common system I have seen for numbering this series is to number each episode from 1-525 by taping date, and that is how the episodes are referred to in this Skips Guide.
But apparently BUZZR is using a different system. The episodes that you are referring to are listed as "Match Game 79SYN_0103" and "Match Game 79SYN_0104" by BUZZR. These episodes translate as episodes 48 and 49 in the taping order numbering system. They are the 3rd and 4th episodes of the 10th taped week, thus BUZZR's designations of 0103 and 0104.
If BUZZR ever makes it to the final taped episode of MG Syndicated, I predict it will be designated as 1055, meaning the fifth taped episode in the 105th week of taping (3 seasons of 35 weeks, 35*3=105).
In my own notes, I have added information to indicate the episode #'s in both systems, so I can cross reference between them if I need to.

I stand corrected. It’s the same code structure in that case as CBS TPIR and the 70’s Concentration. Production week then day of the week with 105 weeks overall
To clarify this is the skips guide for synd season 1 with Buzzr’s coding then the episode overall (courtesy of MatchGameProductions) and its panel
MG Synd. Season 1
132/62 - David Doyle, BS, CNR, Randi Oakes, BD, MW
145/70 - Ronny Graham, BS, CNR, Susan Richardson, Arte Johnson, FF
151 to 155 (entire week 15)/71-75 - Steve Kanaly, BS, CNR, Jamie Lee Curtis, Richard Paul, FF
213/103 - Wesley Eure, BS, CNR, DS, Bob Barker, MW
224/109 - Bill Anderson, BS, CNR, Barbara Rhoades, Bart Braverman, JB
231/111-Clifton Davis, BS, CNR, Gail Farrell, Paul Williams, BW
244/119- Freeman King, BS, CNR, Betty Kennedy, BD, JB

That kinda matches up with the show's actual numbering, at least if the '79 premiere slate's "79-01-1" is anything to go by.

Of the CBS run, the following episodes are supposedly gone for good:
#0031-#0033 #0311-#0313/#0324-#0325 #0910
Not sure about #0645, #1024-#1025, and #1406. All others that are skipped is either due to tape damage, or content that is now frowned upon today. #0968 was shown in NBC's Most Outrageous Game Show Moments Specials, and was notable for a contestant answering "Bar Mitzvahed". Though Gene making a Back of the Bus joke towards Nipsey Russell might have been the real reason for the skipping.

For a correction to the 2020 update of the guide: the span of 1309-1317 is no longer skipped and do exist with GSN airing them for the first time this summer of 2023

There could be a skipped episode of Match Game (February 10, 1976) in audio only form at Archival Television Audio. But, however, I am very skeptical about this. And the reason being is because of who they have listed as the celebrities. Those were the celebrities during the week of January 27; 29-30; February 02-03, not February 04-06; 09-10. Here's the information straight from that site. www.atvaudio.com/#8650: MATCH GAME '76 1976-02-10, CBS, 30 min. Gene Rayburn, Richard Dawson, Bonnie Franklin, Scoey Mitchell, Patti Deutsch, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly December 31, 1962-September 20, 1969 (NBC); July 2, 1973-April 20, 1979 (CBS); 1975-1981 (SYNDICATED). Host: Gene Rayburn. I know this post is three and a half years old, but I contacted the site to enquire about this particular audio recording and after some discussion, we found out this is actually an audio recording of the previous week's PM episode:
The PM episode's airdate in the New York City market just so happened to be on the same date as #645's.

Something I observed just now while watching that Match Game documentary GSN made in 2006 is that the clips shown at 9:29 appear to come from syndicated episode #119, which is one of the missing episodes:
I checked every other episode from that week (including the PM episode), and you don’t see Gene Rayburn, Freeman King, Brett Somers, or Charles Nelson Riley wearing the outfits shown in the clips. I believe we can now confirm that this episode does indeed still exist.
