Michael Terrell, who appeared on Press Your Luck in March 1986. THREE Whammies and EIGHT passed spins thrown at his face. $33,380 in one day. In fact, he got his third Whammy in Round 1, but despite being slapped with eight passed spins in Round 2, he managed to win $33,380 all in Round 2, plus he became the first contestant in the series to break the $50,000 winnings limit in less than five shows. Other contestants I like: - Annemarie Carrera (Press Your Luck in June 1986)
- Darrell Garrison (final weeks of $ale of the Century on NBC)
- Rani White ($ale of the Century)
- Gene Snyder (Press Your Luck in July 1984, and Rafferty's Card Sharks early in the run)
- Hal Johnson (Eubanks' Card Sharks and Press Your Luck)
- Sheri (from Eubanks' Card Sharks in June 1987, who won nearly $60,000 in cash and prizes, including three cars!)
- Jeanne Pearce (from Rafferty's Blockbusters)
- Darlene (from Press Your Luck in February 1984, and possibly Bergeron's Hollywood Squares)
- The contestant who won $90,000+ on Wheel of Fortune before the Bonus Round - what was the contestant's name?
Also, could someone please clarify Sheri's and Darlene's last names? The actress who was 100k Pyramid's first undefeated champion. Thomas Van Dyke(TJW 90, he won the Joker's Jackpot of $17,500)

The actress i'm thinking of was Mel Harris, future star of "thirtysomething" and "Something So Right" who retired undefeated in 1985.

There are long running game show winners whose runs we'll likely never see, like Ruth Horowitz and the other 20 time winners of the original Concentration, Lew Retram from the early 70s Password, and a few contestants who won 10 or more 70s Pyramid maingames before either winning in the WInner's Circle or getting defeated.

I've been wondering when did Lew Retrum and Martha Peukert originally play on the ABC run of Password. I know Goodson-Todman liked booking them a lot (they must have been the original Ken Jennings & Brad Rutter), and that they returned on some special weeks, including the short-lived All-Stars format.

Michael Terrell, who appeared on Press Your Luck in March 1986. THREE Whammies and EIGHT passed spins thrown at his face. $33,380 in one day. The only downside was that he didn't know who Pee-wee Herman was (comedian with tight gray suit and red bow-tie; the 1985 surprise Summer hit Pee-wee's Big Adventure helped make the character become mainstream). It was kinda like Michael Larson not knowing that F.D.R. was on the back of a dime. FDR is on the front of the dime, not the back. My favorite contestants, Geezus: Norma Jean Brown on Card Sharks Gene Snyder on Press Your Luck Curtis Warren on Greed Annamarie Carrera on Press Your Luck (she was a fountain of energy and passed spins) and on Greed. I'm surprised no one mentioned Eddie Timanus from Jeopardy!, the first blind contestant. He managed to win a car at the time and he was legally blind. (LOL!) Terri Pous on Jeopardy! (I remember commenting about how drop-dead gorgeous she was and how huge her boobs were. She also was the first contestant not part of a tournament that I was aware of that was born in the '90s to play Jeopardy!). Smart lady, but didn't last. John Carpenter on Millionaire

Annamarie Carrera counts too, so does Mel Harris and even Lisa Munoz.

My late grandmother watched Password back then and i'm, sure she told me about these two. She always told me about P assword, The Doctors (soap) and Another World from that era.

Another addition to my list:
Jennifer on TPIR from February 16, 2006 - she played Spelling Bee and had a bad start with the first three of her five cards being all As before revealing an R on her fourth card. She needed a C to win, but instead she became a part of the elite group of Spelling Bee players who lost on an R. I kind of got a rise out of Bob's flipping of the losing card rapidly with no "hex head" routine leading up to the reveal. Bob would never have done his "hex head" routine if the losing card was an R, I believe.
I found that, whenever contestants lost on an R during Bob's tenure, I found it hilarious to hear the losing horns upon such rare loss.

Another one for my list, because i remember her as clear as day- Scrabble's Jacqui Caulkins she won 5 times, and if NBC didn't have a 5-day limit for the show, it could have been bigger.
