So they have now gotten into episodes that Game Show Network never played? I think I asked before but what time frames did Game Show Network play? What part of the 70s what part of the eighties and what part of the 90s?

So they have now gotten into episodes that Game Show Network never played? I think I asked before but what time frames did Game Show Network play? What part of the 70s what part of the eighties and what part of the 90s? THey played non-fur half hour episodes from 1972-75 daytime, non-fur episodes from late 1975-1978(some of them), they almost never touched 1978-79, touched a lot of non-fur episodes from 1979-82, but not all, almost all of the 1982-83, first half of 1983-84, 1984-June 1986 got rarely if at all touched save for a few select episodes, a good chunk of 1986-87 aired, but not all, not much from Sep 1987-June 1991 got aired, and most of the 1991-92 season did air. Nothing more recent than 1992 ever aired on GSN. Also the Kennedy version. The only season they aired pretty much complete was 1982-83, with most of 1991-92 and 1986-87 played, plus most of all of the Kennedy version. The 1985-86 season was virtually never touched by GSN, ditto 1984-85 and 1987-1991(save for a few select episodes). 1972-82 were limited because of fur coats, and 1978-79 only had one or two episodes played iIRC

On the 2/20/1984 episode airing on Pluto now, Barker refers to being "misquoted " in TV Guide, probably referring to the then recent issue with Barker, Wink, Sajak, Monty, and Jack Barry on the cover in which Dawson wouldn't appear on the cover unless it was by himself, There were 2 episodes of Family Feud during the 1983-84 Syndicated season that mentioned Game Show Hosts. One was a question about GS hosts (McGlone vs. Worley), and the other had Bob Barker and Pat Sajak being mentioned (Pince vs. Stillwell).

I am in the process of recording select classic episodes of TPIR from the Pluto run. I even have a spreadsheet created, but it didn't take into account some episodes that were skipped. So someone please refresh my memory - what episodes were skipped by Pluto between September 13, 1982 and February 27, 1984 (the latter being the latest episode shown to date)? I do know that one episode from early February 1983 was skipped (please clarify?), the March 22, 1983 episode was skipped, and the April 1, 1983 episode was skipped. According to what I read recently on G-R, January 3, 1984 was skipped - that was the first show of 1984. Four episodes from February 1984 were skipped: February 8, 14, 21 and 22. I understand that the reason for skipping February 21 (which doesn't surprise me) is that it was a half-hour episode and Pluto prefers to air hour-long episodes only, but it would be interesting to find out the reason for the other skipped episodes. I read something about episodes from early in Season 12 being skipped. What original airdates were they? Could someone please provide a list of episodes (by airdate) from Seasons 11 and 12 that Pluto skipped thus far?
According to my spreadsheet data, 7 a.m. ET on June 30 (tomorrow morning) is when Pluto starts the 300-episode cycle again.
I have highlighted some episodes that I am interested in recording during the upcoming cycle, assuming it isn't shown in late night.

At 6AM EST, Pluto goes back to 9/13/82 AKA episode 4581, and at 6PM EST on 7/12, they'll go back to 4581 again, presumably, unless new episodes are added,

The Reason is most likely because of master tape damage.

Speaking of marathons, July 18th will be Olympic themed given the Summer Olympics are on the horizon and will feature the golden games played.

^ Based on the promo, it appears that the episodes featured in the marathon showcase Hurdles and pricing games that required physical activity to win.
Regarding the skipped episodes so far in Pluto's run, I wonder if some of them did not suffer tape damage, and it may be more due to music by licensed recording artists that they refused to clear?
Of course I did discover some examples of music by recording artists (many of which were instrumental versions).
Aside from Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther Theme" used in Safe Crackers, they are:
"Don't You Want Me" by Human League (used for a jukebox prize) "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" by Melissa Manchester (also used for a jukebox prize) "She Works Hard for the Money" by Donna Summer (used for a jukebox prize during Christmas Week 1983, I think) "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton (with vocals, used in the "Big John" Showcase. "Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes (a portion of it used as background music at the start of a showcase)
Joe Cocker, Henry Mancini and Donna Summer are all deceased.

I'd like to ask, at the beginning of the "Time Capsule" Showcase, was background music as the newspaper of the future spins on screen. That very theme would later be used as the opening theme to "Star Trek: The Next Generation". What was the name of that song?

Hot Stuff by Donna Summer was used for a jukebox I saw at one point.
