In another thread, I asked if inflation is to blame for why that latest round of Classic Concentration episodes was so short, and I wonder if it could apply to TPIR TBE, too? I don't think that is the reason for any of the shows. I am addressing your query from the Buzzr section of the board first Vahan. From what I have seen (on other boards and I think on here), it look like there is 100 or less (I think I remember seeing this number on here and other boards) episodes of both Classic Concentration and Press Your Luck left for Buzzr to air. Of course there are still some skips to be done for PYL (3 episodes from 3/86, 2 episodes from 4/86 and 1 episode from 6/86) that aired on special marathons and Buzzr usually skips shows that aired on special marathons if I remember correctly. They may be airing less of Classic Concentration and Press Your Luck due to the fact that their runs are almost finished. Now on to TPIR, the only thing I am thinking of (speculation of course) that is possible is that due to the popularity of the recent season 1 drop, the mystery when the next S14 drop will be (which has nothing to do with model or Rod residuals) they are probably wondering where to take the direction of the channel (whether or not more episodes of the 1st 10 years could air or keep showing 1982-2007 episodes). Plus there may be discussions on lifting the "Fur embargo/ban". I have always wondered if they might add more channels based on decade/era (ie a channel for 30 minute episodes, one for 1970's hour longs, etc). Keep in mind, what I am saying is guesses as we don't know for sure what is going on (expect that there is no model or Rod residuals unless if Janice, Holly, Dian or someone connected with the show says different on residuals). Where TPIR is concerned, let's keep our eyes peeled on the Barker Era social media pages for updates and not start any rumors that is misinformation (I know you don't do that Vahan as I am not talking about you).

oldtimetvfan But Card Sharks (CBS) and Family Feud (ABC) are far from being finished, and both only had 20 episodes each in their latest sets. Classic Concentration and Press Your Luck are the ones that are almost at the very end. Both of them are somewhere close to 130 episodes each until then.

It makes me wonder if CBS CS and ABC FF are not getting enough viewership on Buzzr. It seems to me that PYL and CC is getting more fresh eps more often and is probably getting more viewership. It also makes me wonder if we will get fresh episodes then a short pause (a few weeks) then more fresh episodes. We will just have to wait and see. I did some research and it look like (barring anymore new skips) PYL has 126 episodes left for Buzzr to air (minus what Buzzr aired in special marathons that I mentioned previously.

what other boards you saw this on? If you are referring to the episode count of PYL left to air on Buzzr, I think it was on here by one of the posters, I think I might of seen it also on Game Show Forum, but I don't know for sure.

I think ratings only matter in terms of what shows they air and when they air them. I never thought that fresh episodes matter that much to ratings because except for a few rare references in commercials (mentioning "new to Buzzr" episodes) the vast, vast majority of viewers don't know there are fresh episodes ahead of time unless they're on boards like this or looking at html code. It's a passive viewing channel, and occasionally a viewer may think, oh, I haven't seen this Family Feud 6 times already.
Of course ratings matter in the sense of Classic Concentration is popular, let's give them lots of episodes. But I think a lot of fresh episodes has more to do with them playing the show 25 hours a week and not wanting to play the same episodes too often. I can't think they're slowing down converting episodes because ratings are down.

In regards to National Game Show Day, I wonder if that is when the next batch of fresh Barker Era episodes will drop. We will just have to keep our eyes focused for more info as time flies by.

They could do it like the Big Bucks Blowout marathon in 2021. Highlighting big winners in the fresh episodes.

At long last. Although not a good time slot with most people being at work.

If October 11th, 1985 was the last episode Pluto aired(not counting the April 1986 episode they aired when one of the contestants was to appear on the current run),and two episodes are aired daily from Tue 5/28-THursday 6/20, and nothing is skipped, January 7, 1986, would be the airdate of the last new to Pluto episode. THe last of Johnny, Gene Wood's audition episodes, Rod's first audition episodes, and Rich Jeffries' audition episodes. Of those episodes, nine are either available on the internet or are already archived at tpirepguide, A new episode aired on November 29,, 1985(Black Friday), and no Xmas themed episodes in 1985

Actually 5881D will be skipped as indicated by the erroneous Samsung TV Plus schedule back in January, and the Content ID matches went to 5944D. Let's hope the other one is not the last episode with Johnny announcing.
Another thing came to my mind: as they're doing another batch of 48 episodes, it could be a sign that they're making way to go back and pick up the first four Bump playings. Can't say it for sure yet but it's possible.

That is excellent news for die-hard TPIR fans who were waiting more than a year to finally see more Season 14 episodes, though the time slot is perhaps very inconvenient unless it's a Saturday or Sunday, or if someone is off work that day.
As for TPIR coming to Buzzr, maybe that could explain why GameTV dropped the Barker run to begin with.
