This episode could be like the 5th taping session and the first taping session to have a Weird Costume Customer. The first taping session of the second season had a rare *4* shopping list items bonus but the pricing items rounds have now been reduced to 2.

So, it is looking like Scott & Jennifer vs. Tony & Vicki vs. Dusty & Kerry will probably air this coming Saturday (7/15) at 1:00. Then, the second taping session with the Frozen Yogurt bonus will start airing. That one will probably have six episodes and will feature the first appearances of several future Sweep of Champions teams, including Jerilynn & Andy, Derek & Shawn, Rita & Racquel, and Holly & Cassie. If my prediction about taping session order is correct, we may see the first taped Sweep of Champions episodes starting either Sunday 7/23 or Saturday 7/29.

Would be nice if they put it back on the weekdays, but it's better than nothing.

As far as skipped shows with $5,000 wins go, Roland Taylor says that he remembers Mary & Sandy in the 1993 Sweep of Champions episode being successful in the Bonus Sweep (#1519; hidden behind the StarKist Tuna). He doesn't remember who won it in the 1992 Sweep of Champions episode (#1384; hidden behind the Yoo Hoo Chocolate Drink).

Well, the episode shown on Roku was indeed #1599, and as pyramidpower14 stated, there were one or two unknown shows taped that day (it was probably just one).

Looks like the taping session labeled at #18 is #17.

Looks like the taping session labeled at #18 is #17. Yes, it looks like in my post above, I might have transposed sessions 17 and 18. Another possibility is that the one I labeled as 19 is actually 18, and the one I labeled as 18 (the other champions session) actually taped much later on towards the end of the season. Since the current taping session 17 has some contestants in the audience that appeared for the one labeled 19, I am wondering if that might be the case. I may have been mistaken in assuming that the two main champions sessions taped consecutively. In any event, we'll find out soon enough. Regardless, we will be seeing some Champions episodes next weekend. An interesting note about the last taping session that just completed (Session 16) -- there were three wins by Team #3 in that session (a win rate of 50%). I wonder if that is some kind of record for Team 3 wins in any given taping session. Also, interesting that there were no Bonus Round wins in Session 16 -- which must have been a relief to the producers considering the 90% win rate (4 bonus round wins) in Session 15.

pyramidpower14 It can be verified that Janine & Ryan was from the same session as the debut of the Magazine Display. Matthew Austin (thanks a million to him again) noticed this from viewing the intro to one of the two available episodes with that Big Money Maker.

Yes, it appears that Janine and Ryan's first appearance is from the taping session with the Magazine Display big money maker. I still haven't been able to deduce which taping session Lara and Larry's first appearance is from. Out of all the teams that appeared on the Champions episodes in the 94 season, Lara and Larry are the only team whose first appearance I am unable to account for. Maybe Matthew Austin has some insight on that. Some of the Champions who will appear on the current taping session (that just started airing yesterday on Buzzr) had their first appearances in the previous season (1993-1994).

One thing I noticed in viewing the Liz and Lisa vs Brooke And Roy vs Annette and Gwen ep from #20 is that you can see Eden and Dave in the audience during the Big Sweep shots. Yet you their episode listed as taping session #21. Is it possible that #21 is actually #20 and vice versa?

Yet you their episode listed as taping session #21. Is it possible that #21 is actually #20 and vice versa? I have actually found that the audience shots during the Big Sweep are likely just random shots added in post-production that do not necessarily match up to that particular Big Sweep's taping session. For example, during the Dave/Eden vs. Allison/Debbie vs. Lorraine/Lauri episode, if you go to the Big Sweep at the 19:20 mark of this video ---https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPzhXVbJj9A&pp=ygUbU3VwZXJtYXJrZXQgc3dlZXAgZWRlbiBkYXZl - you can see that the audience shot is actually a shot from the Mother-Daughter taping session. Another example is the audience shot from the Big Sweep of the Wayne/Linda vs. Jennifer/Linda vs. Lori/Denise episode -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX28w0HU2Pc&t=40s&pp=ygUXc3VwZXJtYXJrZXQgc3dlZXAgd2F5bmU%3D -- at the 20:59 mark of that video, the Big Sweep audience shot is clearly from Taping Session 2 (specifically, I spotted Eileen ane Tara as well as Denise and Joey in the shot), even though this particular Big Sweep occurred during Taping Session 4.

According to YouTube's content ID system, the 1990 episode that aired in Pick n Play a couple weeks ago was #1002.

How about that for an interesting development. Kim & Rosemarie, Karen & Jennifer, and Craig & Gena, from the 1993-1994 Season all returned returned for this Sweep of Champions.

Yep, the same thing happened during the 1993-1994 Sweep of Champions -- there were some champions from the 1992 season that returned for that one. I always wondered if the previous seasons' champions were at a disadvantage coming back to play in the following season's Sweep of Champions since the market layout changes from season to season.

The 1991 and 1993-taped episodes had the market layout changed midseason. We even got to see the teams that won their Sweep during the first season(during the time when it had the Weird Costumed characters) returned for the first set of Season 3 Sweep of Champions episodes(back when the Mini-Sweep card was still plain yellow, the Mother's Cookies were still seen behind the teams in the time earning segments).
