Buzzr did it again. They are airing the same episode of Supermarket Sweep that just aired at 9.
Ashley and Emma vs Andrew and Jill vs Lana and Nicole. I think tonight should have been the episode with Rick and Aaron but I know we won't see that one unfortunately.

If I had to venture a guess for the June 23, 2000 episode(Christy & Jason/Laurie & Sheri/Roseanne & Dominick), the Big Money Makers in that episode should be the TV Mystery Product, the Tootsie Roll box swipe and the Giant Box of Cheer detergent. I hope Imad Khuri or Chuck Donegan has that episode also since Greg Diener has that very episode, with that said, it should be either #1063 or #1065. What's happening with Greg Diener these days though? And does anyone else have the June 23, 2000 episode in their collection? Also, Greg has the July 3, 2000 episode(Jean & Lisa/Carmen & Donna/Kurt & Annie) and I'm assuming that one should be #1067 and I'm guessing that Kurt & Annie won the Big Sweep.

Sadly, with The Game Show Channel being terminated from YouTube, all the episodes of Sweep have been lost as well.

Sadly, with The Game Show Channel being terminated from YouTube, all the episodes of Sweep have been lost as well. Don't worry. I saved every single one Buzzr showed. If only I could think of a way to send all 600+ of them to you, though...

The masters they used for both of those episodes were damaged and unfortunately cause playback issues during the digital conversion. Both episodes run at an inconsistent 3% slower pace than normal. This also causes an issue with the picture with it jiggering every other second due to the bad de-interlacing job.
It seems like the masters made for the 1997-1998 repeat airings were on cheaper videotape stock. I noticed on the ones that Fremantle sourced from those dubs (which included episodes 589 and 600) had a lot more tape wear compared to the ones sourced from the original broadcast masters.

I don't know if it's 1997-1998 videotape stock. It could that those ARE the original tapes. I doubt that honestly. Last year's fresh batch of Sweep, around a dozen or so episodes were sourced from circa 1997 edits. It would be highly unlikely that only those specific episodes would had the edits made to the original tapes. Especially since season five re-ran twice on PAX throughout 1999-2000 and some of those airings circulate like episode #600 and they featured more recent fee plugs than the Buzzr versions as evident by the closing credits. Fremantle more than likely has the alternate tapes of seasons four and five from those repeat airings as well the original edits. It appears that the streaming channel is keeping the episodes from the "National Game Show Day" event apart of the rotation. They're current running episodes #595-596 as I type this. They also ran the episodes from season six a few days ago. Hopefully they stay around.

gsn93 Some of the parting gifts I could tell were the original ones, though, such as the Hoover Steamvac, which was introduced in 1994. Also, do you have any idea why is Buzzr not continuing as of right now? What is going on here? Not to mention I feel like they jinxed things already with some episode duplicates.

Most of the episodes they ran were of the original edits only a small number were from the repeat versions. Those episodes were 588-592, 594-596, 598-601, 604, 612, and 613. To answer you other question. I don't know. I do not have that information.

I am really hoping that the last 25 episodes of the 1994 1995 season will show up some day. I would have a hard time believing that they are not available for Buzzr to air.
