this new change will be a whole new world for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire for a new generation Before I go take a shower... What makes you think that everything will be positive/successful/good/whatnot? Some ideas just don't work.

What I was trying to say is that Terry Crews will be wonderful to host Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and it will make his career very bright in the TV world. My mother and I knew Terry Crews from many movies and with Terry as the new star Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will make him very famous indeed. Besides being announced as the new host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire what movies and other TV shows has he been in?, Thanks for your wonderful reply Mandoli, Your friend Kelsey

I've never seen this guy. I'm not mainstream like other people are.

Terry right now is on the Fox sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine (and it looks like he's going to stay with the show while he does Millionaire). He also was on Everybody Hates Chris and did several other TV and movie roles.

I'm just surprised Millionaire is still alive. Haven't watched it in years. Personally, I'd discontinue this show. I mean, it keeps getting bad ratings, doesn't it? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's true, then just cancel it. Well, as I've been saying, what if they move Millionaire to a later time in all markets, say 6:30, 7:00pm? Around there. Since Family Feud moved to 7pm in most markets, it's gotten better ratings. But the reason I think why they even did that was it showed its potential some when it aired in daytime a couple seasons back. Some people work, go to school, etc. Some people aren't home during the day, some just can't watch TV during the day, etc. It's not the 60's or 70's anymore. Now, these syndicated game shows should be pushed to evenings.

I just have to ask: what's the deal with the glut of black game show hosts lately? Prior to "Don't Forget The Lyrics", I think there may have been one (yes, I looked it up. Adam Wade). Lately, however, they seem to be everywhere, regardless of whether they're actually good (Steve Harvey, Wayne Brady), bad (Alfonso Ribiero, Sherri Shepherd), or just plain indifferent (Cedric The Entertainer, DeeRay Davis).
I just have to ask, because it seems to be a trend that's blatantly noticeable. I'm just wondering because now there seems to be a glut of them out there.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only Harvey fan around here, even if Feud has taken a not-so-desirable direction lately.
Well, with Alfonso and Sherri, those two were kind of typical GSN picks, weren't they? They had a period where they kind of reached for older TV stars.

I would say that I really do like Steve Harvey as a game show host; I'm just over the show's constant need to force outrageous viral video moments on a regular basis. Humor comes from game shows best when it's natural and spontaneous.

Humor comes from game shows best when it's natural and spontaneous. Have you noticed that Family Feud never got the kind promotion it has right now until they slipped in multiple raunchy questions per show and Steve Harvey became host? The ratings spike must have been a result of the flood of advertising they did as opposed to when Anderson, Karn and O'Hurley hosted. Plus, I'm all for a spontaneous atmosphere as long as the same things don't happen on every show. Answers that were considered off the wall even when O'Hurley hosted, have somehow found their way on board in the Harvey era. Here's an excruciating example of how things have changed from a recent show: Ray Combs era question: "We asked 100 men, name something women borrow from each other." Not on the board: "One another's husbands." Steve Harvey era question: "Name something 100-year old men swap with each other." #5 Answer: "Each other's wives."

He openly admitted to hating it. I remember when Meredith went on Live, when Regis was still hosting that, to talk about the format change to the shuffle version. But when did he say he didn't want to host the show again because of it? This is the first I've heard of that.

Don't forget Jaleel White, & Teck Holmes but not all of them have black host you still have Pat, Vanna, Alex & Drew for example. There were a few in the interim between Musical Chairs and Don't Forget the Lyrics that you're forgetting, including Nipsey Russell ( Your Number's Up), Ahmad Rashad ( Caesar's Challange), Robb Edward Morris ( Make the Grade Season 2), Spencer Christian (the BET version of Triple Threat), and Al Roker (MSNBC's old Remember This? as well as Celebrity Family Feud), among a handful of others.
