It's holding up well and certainly doing better than similar programming that has been produced on this network in the past (Beat the Chefs, Family Trade, and some stuff from the 2004 revamp come to mind).

Less than a half hour ago: Link: Buzzerblog on FacebookI haven't seen a minute of this show, and I'm apparently in the minority.

The show smells great to GSN execs.

Apparently this turd of a show is getting a second season. They're casting for a second season already.

When watching Catch 21 today I did hear about the Skin Wars auditions because there was a pop-up ad advertising it. It surprises me that Skin Wars is gonna get a second season and is the fourth monster hit for GSN second to the Chase first Idiot Test and The American Bible Challenge in third. Also it seems that with Skin Wars being the monster hit for GSN I think that having Rebecca Romjin as the host really makes the show a hit and proves that GSN really has a hit on their hands, Kelsey

If you ask me, the only idea I could think of for a reality show on GSN that could actually work is about people who do those trivia nights, like the ones held by organiztions for charity. What might make it work is to give the viewers a chance to answer some of the questions (via social media). I bring this idea up as a member of one of said teams. Sure, I know it might sound like a variation of "Storage Wars", except it's about team trivia instead of bidding on storage units, but still it might be interesting, and in a way, it FITS the network. Mandoli, if this post belongs somewhere else, go ahead and move it, but I just thought it might work here, since it's reality based, just like Skin Wars.

GSN has some really high hopes for Skin Wars Season 2 and they have promoted it like crazy and the day before Skin Wars Season 2 began Entertainment Tonight had a whole episode all about Skin Wars which was surprising to me because this was the first time i've ever seen a GSN show get promotion on any talk show. So GSN has made a monster hit get really huge and I hope when The Chase debuts Season 5 Entertainment Tonight gets a whole episode devoted to The Chase just like GSN did with Skin Wars, Kelsey

Both seasons of Skin Wars have been made available on Hulu, FYI.
I believe that is a first for active GSN original programming to show up on streaming sites like Hulu.

Maybe GSN wanted to bank on their success with this show? I know a lot of popular shows are on Hulu (I watched a few Dragnet and Emergency episodes on there, among others), so this might be a new platform for them.
What else would be good for their platform?

I would like to see them make their leases of classic GSN programming made available on Hulu, but that will never happen.

And I did find out that Skin Wars is also airing on GameTV in Canada on at least Sunday evenings. I also disocvered that it also airs The Newlywed Game (most likely the Sherri Shepherd version), Minute to Win It (I am not sure if it's the Ohno version), and it also airs Hollywood Squares with Tom Bergeron (most likely episodes from the last GSN lease). I wonder if GameTV records bootlegs of programming aired on GSN in recent years and airs them on GameTV? Isn't that illegal? Or are Canadian broadcasting laws different?
