I would like to ask some question regarding winnings records.
I believe that Cheryl Reinwand won $150,800 in 1986 and Chris Dermott won $147,750 in 1991. Is that all correct?
I think I saw a post on some forum a long time ago (sorry, I don't remember more details) saying that $20,000 of Cheryl Reinwand's winnings came from 21-21 ties. Is that correct? How many happened during her regular run? How many in the tournament?
In contrast, the post said Chris McDermott broke one 21-21 tie, but because the $5,000 bonus was not in effect for the 1991 version, her total did not surpass Cheryl's. Is that all correct?
Did Chris McDermott win any bonuses in the main game at all? Or did she win all her money in the winner's circle? Regardless, would she be the one who won the most winner's circle money out of all the versions?

Cheryl did win $20K in 21-21 tie bonus money, as per a post from Brendan McLauglin in alt.tv.game-shows in 1996. CHris M. had one 21-21 tie in 1991, as per that same post. Chris McDermott's bonus money was not mentioned in that post, but it would seem like she won the most money in the Winner's Circle in the 1973-1991 era. Barbara Schnell on daytime won only $5K of her cash winnings in the maingame out of $58,950 in 1986, and Cathy O'Brien won all her $56,950 in the winner's circle on daytime.

And, let's not forget Kathy Rechtsteiner who won $66,450 as detailed by pyramidfan on this thread in 2018. Yes, she did win 5/5 7-11s and I think she was the only player to do that. However, she won all the other $60,950 in the winner's circle. No tiebreaker bonuses. So, she holds the record for non-tournament winners in winner's circle winnings alone.

Has anyone ever won all five Mystery 7's. On the CLark Pyramid, they never offered a trip if the returning champion had won a trip. No one ever won two vacations IIRC.

There were some rare instances where a trip was the Mystery 7 prize during an episode where one of the contestants had already won one. I do know of at least two contestants who won multiple trips: Julia Wagner collected her second in week 5 of the Dick Clark nighttime version, and in Debi Steron's final day on John Davidson's version, she won her THIRD trip.

pyramidfan I think I got one of the results wrong in the episode guide. The results of ABC Week #198 are repeated in ABC Week #200. What were the actual results in the latter? Click here

Click here According to my New York sources, Adrienne Barbeau had a $20,000 win and Mike Farrell had his only winless week of the series.

I found a pre-emption on October 2, 1979 -- during the first "Junior Partner Pyramid" week -- for Pope John Paul II's address to the United Nations. Several newspapers confirm this.
I believe this should allow us to complete the numbering of the episodes that aired between October and December of 1979.

There weren't any more pre-emptions that aren't accounted for, if my count is correct. Taking this latest skip into account, that makes the first "Junior" week 1389-1392 and the short Thanksgiving week 1423-1426.

While we're on this subject, pyramidfan, I'm starting to have my doubts about when tapings began in 1977. Can it be confirmed that they did indeed begin with the January 24-28 week? Over on Family Feud, the first and last tapings for 1977 were respectively during the weeks of January 31, 1977 and January 30, 1978. Perhaps I should change 1977 back for now until more information comes to light? What would you suggest?

I can say with certainty that the January 17, 1977, week was taped on December 29, 1976, but I can't confirm when the week of January 24th was taped.
I don't know how much I'd use "Family Feud" sessions to gauge when "Pyramid" taped. After all, they involved different production companies and different coasts.

Was the return of the $25,000 Pyramid in April 1988 designed to be temporary or was there a chance that it could have stayed on the CBS schedule if it had done well? I'm not sure if it was designed to be a placeholder for Family Feud since Blackout bombed so spectacularly and Feud wasn't ready to go on the air yet or if this was an attempt to bring it back because they regretted axing it because its replacement bombed as it did.

Variety Magazine said back in 1987 that there would be both a CBS and Syndicated version of Feud.

Dick's goodbye on the 7/1/88 Pyramid finale was done in post, during one of the last tapings on $100K in early June 1988, so one wonders if CBS was going to ditch Card Sharks rather than Pyramid in favor of Feud, and cancelling Pyramid a second time was a last minute decision. Note also that the car portion of the Card Sharks bonus round changed the day COmbs Feud premiered.
