Was the Wednesday episode of the Adrienne Barbeau & Marty Cohen week the last one of the June 1986-April 1987 lease? As far as I can tell, yes.

Just a tidbit I just noticed, sorry if it's already well known.
The 12/8/1982 episode of 25K Pyramid has a contestant, Shari Mason, who is the same Shari that played on Blockbusters as part of a family pair (Shari & Joel) from 1/30/1981 - 2/4/1981. Shari and Joel won $12,500 on Blockbusters, and Shari only won $300 on Pyramid.

Dare2be, weren't there a couple of episodes from October or November of 1987 in which GSN accidentally repeated the first game, instead of showing the first Winner's Circle? And was it ever fixed?

IIRC, I don't think they were ever fixed. I'm having trouble finding which ones they were in my notes.
...went back thru my recordings. They were 1319 11/5/87 - Ganzel/Siebert, and 1325 11/13/87 had the beginning cut off (show started as Dick was talking to Leslie Easterbrook)
But I know there is another episode where the first winners circle was replaced with the beginning of the episode. Just have to find it.

Does anyone know what the record was getting to the top in the winner's circle before Billy Crystal broke it

Billy Crystal's first appearance on 80's Pyramid starts airing on October 4.
After that, either GSN will continue to the Summer of 1983, or they will jump to the approx. 100 episodes from April-October 1987.

It's a shame that the limit was $25,000 for the current 80s Pyramid. George McGrath was an amazing contestant (aired yesterday), but only got to be on one show as he won the $25K on his second winner circle attempt.

George McGrath became a fairly prolific writer and actor. He was also on Password Plus during the second week. www.imdb.com/name/nm0564254/

Also, is it just me, or are we nearly at the halfway point of the current lease of The $25,000 Pyramid? Time sure flew by pretty quickly. I understand there were a few skipped episodes along the way, but some recent PDF schedules show episodes in the 0090s, maybe closer to 0100.
Also, one thing that might be seen on Pyramid soon is what I suspect to be a February sweeps stunt from 1983. I heard there was a special contest. I think it was "Player of the month" or "Player of the week"? Someone please clarify?

As for skipped episodes in this rotation, there were two, and both of them have aired on GSN and USA in the past. So they exist on the trading circuit. The only way skipped episodes would be problematic would be if there is no circulating copy elsewhere in full.

On today's episode, Dick Clark said that there will be a "Contest", where the fastest player of the week in front games wins a trip to Greece. And he said it would begin the week of February 7. Notice Dick said "Contest". So I guess it was for Sweeps periods.
And Dick said that they had done this before (On The $50,000 Pyramid, the fastest player of the week in front games won a trip and a spot in the tournament).

IIRC "The time of the week" wins a trip schtick was done in lieu of the Mystery 7 for two or three weeks in February 1983.
