Bad news: The new PDF on Casey Abell's site just came out, and the Wednesday episode of the Elaine Joyce & Soupy Sales episode will be skipped. It likely aired on USA in 1993, and on GSN in 1997-1998. I know there is one episode from that week from a USA airing with Chris Vs. Debbie as the contestants. Wonder if that's the Wednesday episode? Paging wildjackmonroe Sorry for the late reply, but I just had time to find this episode and based on one thing, it looks to be as such. As I see the last segment, Dick Clark has some of the usual small talk with everyone which includes Soupy Sales, who plugged an appearance of his at a college in New Jersey on the Friday of that week, all the while Dick saying that Soupy will be on the show airing tomorrow (which would be Thursday). Well, I hate to provide even more bad news, but it turns out Chris Vs. Debbie was the Thursday episode. So unless there is information about it from USA reruns or GSN reruns much earlier on, the Wednesday episode will remain a mystery.

And the skips just keep on coming. Now, the PDF for the week of August 8 has come out, and the Monday episode of the Linda Kelsey & Rick Hurst week will be skipped as well.
These skipped episodes HAD to have aired on USA in 1993 and GSN in 1997-2001. As bad an episode or so being skipped is, it's even worse if they aired on the SAME NETWORK before.

And speaking of, Vahan, did you save the November 15, 1982 episode to your hard drive or external hard drive before catnap72 closed his Youtube channel? His copy was from the December 1997 GSN airing but stopped displaying the Tape or Air Date of the color episodes of game shows they've been airing. And to make things interesting, there was a $10,000 win on the October 27, 1982 show as well and Elaine Joyce was the one who won both main games of the episode, she also assisted the Mystery 7 win too as she assisted a $10,000 win in the first half of the episode. If I'm not mistaken, be sure to look for the Mystery 7 box to flash starting next Thursday IIRC.

No. You mean to say that they and USA aired that one, too?

The PDF for August 22 has just been released on the Game Show Follies, and you may have noticed two skips after they air episodes 0046-0048 with Vicki Lawrence & Richard Kline. Don't be alarmed, though; this is perfectly normal.
Bob Stewart Productions would label some episodes in certain weeks of shows by skipping over a number or two, if there was a preemption or two (typically Thanksgiving or New Year's). In this case, there were two preempted days due to Thanksgiving for the year 1982 (Child's Play w/Bill Cullen also had two preempted days for such occasion, as well).
Kinda an odd numbering system; they should have just numbered each episode conventionally and sequential like on the ABC era of The $10,000/$20,000 Pyramid. But it is what it is.

Does one take into consideration that episodes are skipped because of what I suspect to be GSN's strict standards where episodes have to be of best quality or close to it before they get the green light to convert to digital format?

I'm starting to get the feeling that half the time, the reasons for the skipped episodes is not because of damaged or missing tapes, but because it is for the purposes of the lease. They might skip an episode or two that isn't worthy of being part of such lease, so it could be rounded out to 200. Also, I hope you kept in mind what I wrote about skippages in episode numbers due to a preemption or two a couple of posts ago.

For those who weren't alert the past couple of episodes, the Thanksgiving week with Vicki Lawrence & Richard Kline was the first week to have the Mystery 7 box flashing. IIRC, this was one 3 weeks that USA never reran but found its way to GSN during the Dark Period era(the 2 others of course being the debut week with Constance McCashin & Robert Mandan and Denise Miller & Jay Johnson which included the Winners Circle that Jamie Locklin used to have uploaded back when it was once called Page O' Clips).

ivoryface86 , you were right. The two skipped-by-GSN episodes WERE aired on GSN in the past, in addition to having been aired on USA in 1993. Another change to watch for will be in week 12 with Florence Henderson & Tom Reilly, in which the second set of microphones debut for the front game desks and for the Winner's Circle. On the GSN boards, I used to call them "White Goose-necked Microphones"; now I call them by their proper name: Sony ECM53s.

Due to tropical storm Hermine, I most likely won't get to record Friday's episode of 25,000 Pyramid on GSN. Anyone willing to step up to the plate for me?

Turns out I was able to get today's Pyramid airing. What failed for me was Blockbusters 163 and 164 on Buzzr. Didn't expect the rain and winds to affect my OTA signal. Figured if anything would have had problems was my satellite signal.

That is not the December 11, 1986 episode. The episode on dailymotion is from the Audrey Landers/Dick Cavett week, which was Dec. 15-19, 1986

Was the Wednesday episode of the Adrienne Barbeau & Marty Cohen week the last one of the June 1986-April 1987 lease?
