pyramidfan Allen Ludden is one I’m surprised never appeared. Maybe he would have if he hadn’t died. He played on Chain Reaction in 1980, which was from Bob Stewart.

Pyramid was an East Coast show when Allen was alive, as were almost all of Stewart's shows up until 1981 outside of Chain Reaction and Love Experts. Even Betty didn't play 70s Pyramid in NYC. Allen said on P+ that his appearance on Chain Reaction marked his first time on a Bob Stewart production.

If Allen played Pyramid, chances are he may've been in among the weeks not listed in any weekly TV Guide because of Watergate hearings. Wasn't he listed in the Parades of Celebrities list during the March 23-27, 1987 week of $25,000 Pyramid episodes as well as the March 30-April 3, 1987 week of $100,000 Pyramid episodes(#NT-306-#NT-310)?

As odd as it is, Tom Kennedy never appeared in any Bob Stewart nor Chuck Barris show and on the same token, Bill Cullen never appeared in any Merrill Heatter nor Chuck Barris show, and even Jack Barry never appeared nor ever was apart of any game show that he didn't produce. The Generation Gap was his only game show he appeared in that he didn't also produce.

Bill Cullen's only L.A. appearances while he was still living in NYC were if the L.A. based shows regularly have celebrity guests and involves celebrities sitting on-stage. It wasn't until at least August 1978 when Bill & Ann permanently moved to Los Angeles which resulted The Love Experts being Bill's first L.A. based show as host.

Here's a list of L.A. based shows Bill appeared in when he was still a NYC resident: Celebrity Sweepstakes(daytime counterpart, totally erased by NBC) Cross Wits Liar's Club Match Game '7#/PM Tattletales Vintage Squares(daytime counterpart only, that one is totally erased by both NBC and Merrill Heatter's own production company) You Don't Say '75(ABC was still erasing daytime game show episodes then as well) Break The Bank(both counterparts do entirely exist) ABC Password(before it went to the ill-fated All Star format, that one version is majorly erased or taped over).

Vintage Squares(daytime counterpart only, that one is totally erased by both NBC and Merrill Heatter's own production company) Slightly off-topic, but Peter Marshall said the amount of tapes they found of The Hollywood Squares back in the early 2000s was around 3,000-3,500, with the lowest estimates being about 650. Even today, no one has ever properly cataloged them, so I'm willing to bet there may be way more surviving episodes of Marshall Squares than we believe there are, particularly from the daytime version. Like, how come we still have episodes from the 1968 NBC primetime series? Surely they would have seen no long term use for these shows either and have wiped them too.
GSN only ever showed about 150 episodes from Marshall's version of Hollywood Squares, and I think they didn't show any episodes from 1973 or 1974.

They never said what exactly was in the 3,000+, and for all we know, they could have been just syndicated duplicates, since it was made during bicycling.

My point is, we still have no idea if they are duplicates or not. I'm not expecting the whole Marshall run to be intact, but even if they had a number of syndicated duplicate copies in there, I'm betting there's probably a number of daytime episodes (maybe even several years of the run) in there.
Sadly, I don't anyone is going to be checking what's on those tapes anytime soon.
But, I think we should get back to the topic now.

TrickyMario7654 Here's something I'd like to ask: How come it's 260 episodes of The $20,000 Pyramid that are said to exist from 1978 to 1980 at Sony? You think it'd be at least twice that number.
