Breaking news: Beginning October 4, Whammy and the GSN remake of The Pyramid are leaving the GSN lineup yet again(at least on weekdays), and the new version of Catch 21 (where the question is shown and uh, the dance routine in the opening) takes over the 8:00am and 8:30am slots, and Master Minds takes over the 9:00am slot and People Puzzler takes over both the 10:00 and 10:30am slots and GSN is acquiring the 2019-taped episodes of Family Feud too. What will it mean then for the pre-2015 episodes of Feud? The Xfinity guide has not yet filled in the episode titles for next week's lineup, maybe Common Knowledge and the GSN remake of The Pyramid will make its way back to the weekend lineup, that remains to be seen. We just got to see a promo for Tug of Words BTW and I'm predicting it begins November 8. This is the first time Ahmad Rashad is seen on GSN at any point but he sure isn't new to the game show land.

It may be for the best to see their version of Pyramid go. Even before Mike Richards’ mighty fall from grace, it was underwhelming. People felt it lasted so briefly because it was too much like the 80s version; so do I. Then there’s the two unaired episodes, because of very poor playing on the celebrities part.

To be honest, I didn't think MR Pyramid was all that good mainly because of poor play from a good amount of celebrities, especially the Turturros. Never forget when Nick Turturro thought Albert Einstein discovered electricity. Dick Clark probably rolled over in his grave after that moment happened.
Seeing it off the schedule won't be that big of a loss really.

Watching MR Pyramid was like pulling teeth.

You wanna hear what's so shameful? In recent promos, GSN has completely IGNORED the original version of Chain Reaction with Bill Cullen. Instead, they are treating the Dylan Lane version from 2006-2007 as the original. Shameful and embarrassing. Dylan Lane himself was talked to about the 80s versions of the show, albeit briefly, when interviewed by Adam Wurtzel. One team on the 2006 version mentioned the original CR in their interviews. The USA version from Canada had a run two years longer than Press Your Luck did, some of us remember that run well too. That episode in reference is from the episode, Barbara, Gigi, Joan vs. Damian, Ed, Chris from August 11, 2006(#1007).

former California governor Pat Brown as the Daly WML mystery guests Hm, Jerry's father. I would've been interested in seeing that one for sure. When I had DIRECTV I would record them all anyways during the holidays but since we dumped satellite here and basically stream our shows now, I don't get GSN. I did read yesterday that YouTubeTV just got GSN on their platform yesterday though. Maybe Hulu Live will get it one of these days, although it seems like the prices on these streaming services seem to go up as they keep adding channels, even ones that I kind of like to have.
