Son of a female Dog: Zach Horan WAS right. There were just four episodes during Christmas week. After two episodes with the Santas, we're now seeing the presence of animal trainers and their animals (for Educated Guess questions) and ten women who are moms in the audience. No sign of Bob Goen just yet. Prize package lost again, sadly. The 9:30 a.m. EST/6:30 a.m. PST showing ended with Jeff Vs. Sheralee at Game 1, Question 1. Also, Bob Eubanks didn't mention Christmas on 12/28, like he did on 12/24. THe Goen cameo was the 12/30 episode.

And not only were there reruns of The $25,000 Pyramid from Christmas 1986 in December 1987, but there were also reruns of The Price Is Right from Christmas 1986, as well. They had Bob Barker come in and do a voiceover for such reruns ("Don't let this dark hair fool you; this is a holiday rerun that was taped before I let my hair go gray." were his exact words).

I didn’t wake up in time to grab the 9:00am airing, but I got the 9:30 airing. So what episode is this ostrich incident on? I saw a camel on the 9:30 airing. Just curious because I don’t know diddly squat about the Eubanks version.
As for the Black & White (which is what it is from this point on, no more color syndies), the GSN online schedule has a some information on each show. When I have the time today, I’ll gather the info and post it, unless someone beats me to it.
I also haven’t checked YouTube, but by the end of the week, I’ll try to post the syndie episodes of the shows if you by chance missed them. If they’re already on there, I won’t.

The Ostrich incident is #519, tomorrow at 9:30/6:30.
And I wish we'd find out the truth about the Andrew Vs. Karen episode. I guess I'll just have to listen to what Bob says to see if there's any indication that CS did or didn't air on New Year's Eve '87. $25K Pyramid did for sure (first finale).

Apparently, I just watched my recording of the Lonnie vs. Alice episode. It turns out that, during the contestant introductions, Bob mentioned that Lonnie won a $500 exact guess bonus "yesterday" (meaning Thursday, December 24), which might imply that Zach's pre-emption claim may be false, and Card Sharks may have aired on Christmas Day 1987 after all. That may also explain the absence of a Blackout plug by Bob Goen.
Also, if The $25,000 Pyramid did air on New Year's Eve 1987, chances are, Card Sharks aired that day as well.

But it's gotta be at least four episodes they did for Christmas week. If it was five, I'm sure there would have been three episodes with the women's basketball players, not two. My understanding was that they changed the poll group halfway through the taping day. We'll see what the poll group was for the next two episodes. I don't think the animals and their trainers were on this same taping day as such poll groups.
And it isn't uncommon for hosts to incorrectly say "Tomorrow" or "Yesterday". I've seen Peter Tomarken often incorrectly say Tomorrow on Friday episodes.

I haven't seen my recordings of yesterday or today's Card Sharks yet, will watch yesterday's tonight, but I can say with all the animal appearances talk I've read they are completely breaking from their normal format. I've never seen animals or any other crazy stunts on Eubanks' CS before. Should be interesting.
And yes, I also remember that Bob Barker voice over on his Christmas repeat edition of PIR back in '86 or whatever year that was, in those days I did record PIR on VHS tape and watch it at night when I got home from work. I only wish I had kept the tapes instead of erasing them.

And the second to last episode of the CBS What's My Line? is on as I type this (because by the time you read this, it won't be airing). I wish Buzzr would air some of the later episodes of the series. I guess they're on YouTube, but still, these later episodes are far better than the earlier ones.

So what color syndicated episodes of What's My Line? and I've Got a Secret happened to air? Monday night, What’s My Line? Featured Roger Moore as the mystery guest. Also, Soupy introduced Wally Bruner. Then I’ve Got A Secret was Vincent Price from 1972. Probably the best episode I’ve seen. Tuesday’s episode has Cicely Tyson as the mystery guest, with Larry Blyden as host. Ever wonder what Gene Rayburn looks like photographing a woman in a bikini? The IGAS episode was the Christmas 1963 show. i can’t remember off the top of my head who was the mystery guest for Wednesday’s airing. But Wally Bruner was the host and Bennett Cerf was on the panel. I still need to edit this one. IGAS was a 1965 Steve Allen show with Vivian Vance as the guest.

Sorry for double posting, but two things:
One: Saw a promo for GSN’s new “Saturday Night Classics” block that begins tomorrow. Mentions each show by hour.
Two: No ostritch (I guess that’s the next show), but the contestants had to guess the weight of an elephant on the 9:00a showing. Yes, it was brought out on stage.

The PYL clip was from Michael Terrell's 3-day run in March 1986 (same Michael who won $33,380 on his third and final day).

And there’s Bob Goen, promoting one of the worst shows of the 80’s. Funny moment for sure.

Only the elephant was small, like a baby elephant. As of this post, the ostrich is on.

So much for the crackpot theory that it won't air due to minority groups being offended by the Ostrich attacking Lacey. Not only is it most unlogical a theory, but if it WAS true, they'd also be demanding GSN to stop showing the Syndicated episode of To Tell the Truth with the Armadillo reliving itself on host Garry Moore.
Oh, and C.W. Blackout was a good show IMO.
