I enjoyed Blackout too. It's a shame that most people never gave it a chance.

In other news, more information from Game Show Follies, regarding the week of January 8-4:
“Cover Story: The Press Your Luck Scandal debuts at 7:00 PM. The two Michael Larson PYL eps follow at 8:00 PM (Eastern time). Did he cheat, or did he just outsmart Hollywood producers? In 1984, Michael Larson baffled game show executives when he somehow bested the Press Your Luck game board, evading the dreaded Whammy for over 70 spins, and amassing unprecedented winnings.”
Apparently that will be on a Sunday night. Maybe GSN is trying to be the new Buzzr (doubtful, but some things really make me wonder)

GSN's decision to air Michael Larson really came out of the blue. I agree, GSN may be trying to compete with Buzzr nowadays, only Let's Make a Deal no longer airs on Buzzr. I wonder if GSN's weekend airings of the classics is focusing on the "best of" episodes.

And ep. #519 ends with Andrew Vs. Kara as the players. The match continued on December 31, 1987, which we won't be getting unfortunately.
But despite this, it didn't spoil my viewing of the first seven episodes of the Christmas '87 YPW edition. I still had fun with them. Of the three annual Christmas editions of Eubanks CS, '87 is my favorite by far.
And of the three annual Christmas editions of the original Jim Perry version, the 1980 one (1979 and 1980 were YPW) was the best. That winner of $22,200, Mitch, was awesome.
Bob's comments at the end implied that it would continue on the next episode tomorrow. And there we have it, folks. 4 episodes for Christmas week '87, and 4 episodes for New Year's week '87 (#513-#520). Mystery solved.

Make that three episodes of New Years Week 1987 aired. So the mystery is not solved quite yet.
Just finished recording of the 1987 holiday-decorated episodes of Card Sharks. It was a very entertaining four days. I personally agree also that 1987 had the best Christmas week in the Eubanks series. The holiday gift package was apparently more expensive than a car offered in 1986 or 1988 Christmas weeks.
Now that I think about it, I do remember two of Jared Oswald's uploads did have a Bob Goen cameo, and I don't remember there being a color TV being won as a consolation prize on any of his uploads. I am thinking Jared Oswald did have the Andrew vs. Kara episode uploaded in 2013, but he took it down, but not by choice. I certainly hope I can try to recover my files on my external hard drive so I could possibly retrieve the episode and provide a summary on my episode guide on Game Shows Wiki.
So of the remaining Christmas episodes, only the Andrew vs. Kara episode, and the latter two of the five Christmas 1988 episodes have yet to be seen.

The PYL clip was from Michael Terrell's 3-day run in March 1986 (same Michael who won $33,380 on his third and final day).
The LMAD clip in said promo is from the All New LMAD, presumably the 1984-85 season.

I just thought of something, regarding the Andrew vs. Kara episode that I am searching for. It might be possible that the external hard drive the episode is stored on may not be compatible with an Asus computer I purchased last May. Other external hard drives I have, work well on my current computer. So it may be possible that it is either not compatible with an Asus computer, or not compatible with Windows 10.
Ironically, the external hard drive was compatible with my previous computer, which was an Acer model. So it must be incompatible with an Asus computer.
That said, I may have to purchase a new external hard drive, and have all the files from the affected external hard drive transferred to a new external hard drive. That may be a future purchase for me in the coming new year.

Again, I wouldn't be surprised if the Press Your Luck and Let's Make a Deal episodes on Saturday night are likely the "best of" episodes. The Press Your Luck clip does show Peter Tomarken arriving to the set wearing sunglasses, which was claimed to be from Michael Terrell's run. Day 3 of Michael Terrell's run is so incredible a moment in Press Your Luck's run, it is classified as a "best of" moment.
Plus, the latter airing of Let's Make a Deal this coming Saturday night has a $12,000 big deal being offered, which implies that this is the finale of the 1970s syndicated run, which had something incredible happen, thus classifying as a "best of" episode.
After just checking YouTube, it appears that the Press Your Luck episode in question, featured in the clip used in the promo this morning, is Ep. 642, with Meri Lea/Lance/Michael.

So much for the crackpot theory that it won't air due to minority groups being offended by the Ostrich attacking Lacey. Yeah, about those "theories": If you come up with one, don't post it unless it sounds reasonable.

Yeah, about those "theories": If you come up with one, don't post it unless it sounds reasonable. How about just don't post it. What's reasonable to one might not be reasonable to another, or even reasonable at all.

How about just don't post it. What's reasonable to one might not be reasonable to another, or even reasonable at all. That's better than my idea. I think - and no offense - people just post whatever comes to mind. It's not all good.

I will admit I have theories on things, but at least I admit they're my theories from my twisted mind, and should not be taken as fact.

Thanks for stepping in, Mandy. I've decided to throw in the towel with the theories. I, too, may have some theories, but I'm keeping quiet about them. I'm just going to enjoy GSN for what they show, and stick to facts from now on.

And they also showed clips from Match Game 74, but we know they will be 1977 episodes. We’ll just see what happens tomorrow. My guess, and it is purely a guess, Press Your Luck will be Christmas 1984 shows. I mean they’ve already showed the 1987 Eubanks Christmas episodes of Card Sharks, and zap2it lists Christmas 1979 episodes tomorrow night.

So what color syndicated episodes of What's My Line? and I've Got a Secret happened to air? Monday night, What’s My Line? Featured Roger Moore as the mystery guest. Also, Soupy introduced Wally Bruner. Then I’ve Got A Secret was Vincent Price from 1972. Probably the best episode I’ve seen. Tuesday’s episode has Cicely Tyson as the mystery guest, with Larry Blyden as host. Ever wonder what Gene Rayburn looks like photographing a woman in a bikini? The IGAS episode was the Christmas 1963 show. i can’t remember off the top of my head who was the mystery guest for Wednesday’s airing. But Wally Bruner was the host and Bennett Cerf was on the panel. I still need to edit this one. IGAS was a 1965 Steve Allen show with Vivian Vance as the guest. Oh dang. I haven't seen either of those two syndicated WML? episodes, nor that Vincent Price IGaS. Sounds like it was a nice treat from GSN!!
