I must have been mistaken about Andrew vs. Kara. But at least I knew that all three of the episodes Jared had uploaded did have the holiday gift package won. I don't remember seeing any color television won as a consolation prize on any of his uploads. So I guess I have nothing to worry about in terms of searching for the episode. Maybe the Andrew vs. Kara episode didn't have anything worthy of him recording.
Worst case scenario, we may have to wait for Buzzr to air it.

And Match Game 77 is on during a Saturday Afternoon (evening if you're not in the pacific time zone). Wow.

Press Your Luck is on now. The Saturday run continues from where it left off when it left the weekdays back in May. Ep. 203 (Nancy/Helen/Patrick) is on right now. We've entered July 1984 now.

Thanks for stepping in, Mandy. I've decided to throw in the towel with the theories. I, too, may have some theories, but I'm keeping quiet about them. I'm just going to enjoy GSN for what they show, and stick to facts from now on. You shouldn't have to do that. Everyone has a right to post their own theories. Just be you.

And now we've got the Christmas Eve 1979 episode of Card Sharks with Jim Perry. So good to see this again. Jim is on a roll with the hosting and humor.
So, quick question for the experts out there, I always thought Christmas Eve 1979 was Young People's Week. Apparently I'm wrong. Did they do a Young People's Week in December 1979 at all or not. I know Christmas 1980 was a Young People's Week.

The 10:00pm LMAD looks like a 1976 episode. It aired during the marathon last October.

The contestants were Duff vs. Mac. They certainly weren't kids.

That makes a lot more sense. Still, lots of episodes skipped over. They should've put those in the late night rotation instead of Eubanks. Oh well. I'm just glad they're finally airing these episodes. I've been longing to see this era, so I can't really complain.

And to talk about PYL and Perry CS: For PYL, they apparently still have the rights to the June 1984-February 1985 shows, so it's not surprising we're still seeing them. Also, I love that the Perry version ALWAYS had one or two playings of the Money Cards. Any occasions that didn't have any Money Cards playings were usually during special weeks of shows, such as YPW '79, not during regular play. The Poll Group and Car Game added to the 80's versions resulted in several episodes with no Money Cards.

Yeah, it was absurd to think that they didn't have the rights anymore to Press Your Luck or even Jim Perry's Card Sharks for that matter, considering both Match Game 77 and Eubanks Card Sharks have been airing the same episodes.
I still think this is a way to burn off leases. GSN probably figures they've got the rights to these shows, and might as well air them somewhere on the schedule.
Oh, and now the 70's finale of LMAD is on. I really hope if this does well, they'll lease more episodes of the series.

Jim Perry mentioned during the episode that it was New Year's Eve. My cable guide also listed the original airdate for the episode as 12/31/79.
