The November 1990 TofC only gave away one car and a $10K grand prize, so the budget was slashed a little on that one. The 1989 TOC, the last show I watched from the West Coast feed, because Bush Sr. gave a speech at 10:30.

The ending to tonight's airing of Concentration on Buzzr has been up from the original broadcast at Chuck DOnegan's classic TV Clubhouse on Youtube for some time.

Unsolved puzzle in Game 2 of today's Narz Concentration. Same with tonight's episode too. I admit, that one stumped me!

I thought spoilers were against the rules on this forum. Am I mistaken?

The Chevette is Now Yellow, That Probably is The '77 Model. Also, the copy Johnny O is using to describe the lowly Chevette has changed. Previously, the JO extolled how innovative this new model was; now the car is described in simpler terms.

With the news that Buzzr is skipping Love Week and College Week (February 13-17, 1989 and February 20-24, 1989), I'm stunned. I don't see what's wrong with these weeks that warrant skips? From the available episodes I've watched, there were no music rights issues.

From the available episodes I've watched, there were no music rights issues. The episode numbers that are being skipped do not indicate consecutive weeks. Episodes 445-449 that are being skipped match up with "Love Week" during Feb. 13-17, and skipped episodes are 455-459 match up as having aired on February 27, 28, March 1-3, with episodes 450-454 from February 20-24 all scheduled to air on BUZZR.
The YT episodes that I have seen confirm that "College Week" was February 20-24 (confirmation details in the next post), which would indicate that skipped episodes are 455-459 are NOT College Week episodes (unless it ran for two weeks).

On YT, there is a "College Week" CC episode labelled 2/22/1989. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8U-BY1eVJwThe date seems reliable, as there is a promo for "From the Dead of Night" airing on "Monday" (begins at 24:03), and newspapers of the time indicate this NBC TV Movie aired on Monday 2/27/1989.

In early 1989, going on 32 year old memory, there was a rebus seen on CC, the solution being A Sour Note, that went unsolved(IIRC they didn't recognize a female pig as a Sow). They played another sudden death rebus to determine the winner of game one. I forget the exact airdate, however. Buzzr could be showing this in the next three weeks, assuming it's not one of the skipped weeks.

IIRC also, in early 1989, the Classic Concentration home game started being plugged on the show. If they have new shows for five or six more weeks or so, they'll get to the 4/3-4/7/1989 TofC. It was mentioned on the internet IIRC that NBC preempted the Friday show of the TofC on the East Coast for an NBC news Special Report, and NBC either later reported in a crawl who won the TofC or showed the Friday show on MOnday.

Didn’t the Friday ToC at least air in full on the west coast?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping the entire April 1989 TOC airs. Buzzr's skipping of Pep Rally Week on $ale of the Century for no rhyme or reason leads me to believe that they have something against special theme weeks of game shows.

Alex now plugging the Pressman home game started today. It's also here where Alex's wardrobe is now provided by Perry Ellis, replacing Mr. Guy.
