As for today's second airing of Classic Concentration, that's the most expensive car won so far. Sure is a nice beauty. Unfortunately, Merkur was discontinued on September 16, 1989. I suspect the Coupe De Ville on offer this week probably was in the $20K range in early 1989. That Merkur could have been the most expensive car ever won on the show. Joseph's notes lists a Mazda 929 4 Door Sedan worth $24,242 during the July 07/17-21, 1989 week.

College Week aired February 20-24, 1989, but it seems Alex is referring to the taping order, by frequently stating that it interrupted Pam's five day run.
When was the five day limit dropped?

I believe it was dropped in July 1990 when they went back to the two car round a day, two strikes format, with each player starting at 35 seconds(or 40 if they matched the five bonus seconds) in the bonus round, regardless of whether the car was won last time or not.

I think that's the same Helen who was also on in November 1988 (including the skipped 50s-themed week), right?
Also, just to double check, was the Winner's Circle timer 45 seconds on the second episode today? Sorry, I was paying attention to everything but the timer.

I suspect the problem was during the 50s themed week where Helen would have had her second(or subsequent) game(s) Agreed. Helen won a match on episode 383, but failed to win a car with 55 seconds on the clock. The next episode, 384, was the first of five (384-388) "1950's Sock Hop Week" episodes, all of which were skipped by BUZZR, and none have surfaced on YT.
The only known information that can be inferred from episode 389 about any of the Sock Hop episodes is that a car was won on episode 387, and that one of the newcomers on episode 388, Denise Mancaruso, won a match with $3,973 in prizes, and failed to win a car with 35 seconds.
I would guess that Helen lost on 384 (probably) or 385 (possibly), and the the problem was with the likely eventual car winner with 60 seconds on 384 or 65 seconds on 385 (which would put the car win on 387 at either 40 or 45 seconds.) Didn't someone post once they had a list of the car winners?

I just watched episode 426, and during the Bonus Round, BUZZR obscured the contents of square 14 with a "More Classic Concentration NEXT" Banner. The square was only called once, and, based on the other squares, it was populated with either "CRX" or "PIONEER". The problem is that on the BUZZR airing, it's impossible to tell which.
Are there any clean copies of this Bonus Round available?

I sure wasn't expecting a St. Patrick's Day theme on the first airing of today.
And $14,664 has gotta be some kind of record. Russ won all the Irish-themed prizes in Game 1.

In her CC debut, in the first game of episode # 109 (air date Tuesday 10/20/1987) Vera Michelchek won $14,658 in prizes, including a Baby Grand Piano and a trip to Hawaii. She would go on to win 4 games, 2 cars (both Jeep Cherokees), and a sum of $ 48,853 in prizes, which is second all-time, only behind a player who won three cars.

I'm pretty sure the TOC episode Buzzr is skipping is Day 4. Alex says there's "two days left" in the tournament, but also says that if no one beats Jim's time of 45 seconds "today or tomorrow", $25,000 will be awarded. At the very end, Alex says "two remaining champs tomorrow", and "a dynamite finish for the week".

And so it is underway. I'll update this list of returning players and whatever episodes they originally played on as the week goes along. Also, Sharon was the daughter of a past winner on the show. Wonder who it was? Day 1: Devon (#0342; September 15, 1988) Vs. Lisa (#0252-#0253; May 11-12, 1988) Day 2: Alison (#0403-#0404; December 13-14, 1988) Vs. Tina (#0312; August 04, 1988) Day 3: Jim (#0301-#0302; July 20-21, 1988) Vs. Day 4: Julie (#0313; August 05, 1988) Vs. Reggie (#0246; May 03, 1988) Day 5: Sue (#0148-#0150; December 16-18, 1987) Vs. Barry (#0014-#0017; May 22-27, 1987)

Just to make sure, that's the same Alison who received a car win due to so many technical errors in December 1988, is it?

Okay, are we sure that the Thursday episode of the Tournament of Champions was the one that was supposedly skipped? Because I saw it on BUZZR today.
