So does anyone recognize this woman holding the 30 seconds sign? Apparently, she was Jim's opponent on Day 3.

Okay, are we sure that the Thursday episode of the Tournament of Champions was the one that was supposedly skipped? Because I saw it on BUZZR today. That's what threw me off too because originally Buzzr mentioned Day 4 not Day 3 would be skipped. Someone indicated that Day 4 was on YouTube but Buzzr also showed Day 4 which I wondered what happened to Day 3 as "Jim had the fastest time of 45 seconds winning the car." Nowhere on YT could I locate Day 3 of the TOC so it was sadly a wash for us. But at least we got to see the last episode of that week with Julie winning the $25,000 with the fastest time that week.

It has to be Monica that Jim from the July 21, 1988 episode went up against in Day 3 of the ToC and we found out that the Lovers Week episode upload on Paul Burgos' channel (Diane & Curtis vs. Sal & Alice) aired on February 17, 1989.

In early 1989, going on 32 year old memory, there was a rebus seen on CC, the solution being A Sour Note, that went unsolved(IIRC they didn't recognize a female pig as a Sow). They played another sudden death rebus to determine the winner of game one. I forget the exact airdate, however. Buzzr could be showing this in the next three weeks, assuming it's not one of the skipped weeks. The date was Friday, March 10, 1989, and it was episode 464 (BUZZR rerun date/time; Monday, March 29, 2021, 1:30 PM).
This rebus was actually for Game 2, which was an interrupted game. The Challenger Lisa won this game by finally answering "A Sour Note" after AT pointed out the sow. Before giving the winning answer, but after the interruption she had given two incorrect answers: "A Better Note", and "A Bigger Note".
Because the champion had won Game 1, this was immediately followed by a tiebreaker rebus.
Overall, I'd say your memory was very good!

I just watched episode 465, and I think that the contestant should have been awarded a win in the bonus round.
As time counted down, he had made six matches, and twice failed to make the make the last match that would have definitely won him a Jeep Wrangler. With a "no match" combo exposed (8-14), and one second left on the clock, he shouted out "8-9" not only before the clock went to double zero but also before the buzzer sounded. 8 & 14 closed, and 9 was opened after the the clock went to zero and the buzzer sounded.
I think he should have won because he made the correct selection before time was up and the buzzer sounded. Was there a rule that you needed to wait for the doors of the prior selection to be closed before the next call could be considered valid? If so, I do not recall it being articulated, and it is the only reason to not award the win.
I thought for sure they would review the tape and award the win.

When did "Classic Concentration" begin using their shortened intro, with the camera zooming out of a car's license plate and the crowd shouting the show's title?

When did "Classic Concentration" begin using their shortened intro, with the camera zooming out of a car's license plate and the crowd shouting the show's title? Definitely by the Second College Week (September 25-29, 1989). gsparadise.proboards.com/post/55326/thread

Hmmm... This is not College Week. What is this? I can't do an episode log, because I have NO idea which one this. I'm lost.
This just in: Apparently, it is episode #0500 from May 1, 1989. So next up is #0501 from May 2, 1989. I'm sure they'll get back to April 1989 soon enough. I admit, this is very confusing, knowing Buzzr Bingo is next week. Also, we now know that there was a Dodge Colt.
The next complete episode from the original broadcasts is from May 5, 1989 (Chuck Donegan's Dailymotion), and in it, Alex alluded to $40K and $50K winners.

I am speculating that it would be consistent with past and current BUZZR schedules if, rather than the current published schedule, episodes 500/501 aired in the 1-2 PM time slot on 4/16 (with the rest of the published schedule not changing).

Vahan,
I agree that this has been a confusing time with BUZZR and Classic Concentration. Not only did episodes 500/501 air today out of sequence, they weren't even on the schedule. Episodes 451/444 aired back-to-back and out of sequence a month ago on March 19th, and next week will see episodes 455-457 and 459 air out of sequence as well.
Besides whatever BUZZR is doing with this sequence of episodes, it has been confusing trying to decipher the Production Numbers, original air dates, and Production Order of episodes 444-460. Typically, they all follow the same order, but not within this episode range.
From all appearances, episode 444 was produced on the same day as, and immediately before episodes 450-454, but 444 aired on Friday 2/10/1989, and 450-454 did not air until 2/27/1989 through 3/3/1989. "Love Week" and "College Week" aired back-to-back from 2/13/1989 to 2/24/1989, but do not have consecutive production numbers; 445-449 and 455-459. And even though episode 460 was taped on the same day as and immediately after College Week episodes (455-459), it did not air until 3/6/1989, 10 days after the last College Week episode aired.

So now, the question is, what will air next Friday? 497/490? Gotta wait till then, it seems. I think that the remaining CC episodes will air as scheduled. Today's episodes, which were on the schedule as 455/456, were the same as next Thursday, which immediately stood out. It seemed there was no way both could be right. 500/501 seemed likely to air today as that matched the 2 AM overnight rerun cycle. All of the other 2 AM overnight reruns match up to the 1 PM episodes, including next Thursday's and Friday's 1 PM episodes on 4/22 and 4/23.

The reason for the change in episodes for CC yesterday is believed to be, as per Game Show Forum, the Buzzr Bingo sweepstakes
