How much were Ken Lee's two prizes in his second episode in Game 2 worth?
Never mind. I see someone has corrected it. They were worth $1,178.

Those are the lowest and highest possible values for Ken Lee's two prizes that I worked out, using a range of $10,901 to $10,999 for the Wrangler. All I could tell for certain about the Wrangler is that Gene Wood described it as being worth "over $10,900". Valuing those prizes at $1,178 values the Wrangler at $10,995.

Rod Lurie, playing in Game 1 in CC episode # 669 finally did something that many contestants have the opportunity to do, but virtually never do.
As the game was winding down, he announced he could solve the puzzle, but was going to go for more matches and prizes.IMHO, this was good, low-risk decision. At that moment, three prizes and one wild card remained on the board, with seven panels left. At least one location for each of the remaining prizes had been revealed, and four panels had not been opened at all. As long he selected first one on the previously unrevealed panels (which he did), he was guaranteed to have information to make another match.
He promptly cleared the board and solved the puzzle.

The bad news is that #0672 was skipped. The good news is that at least the episode with the car win wasn't.
Towards the end of January 1990, Georgeann Ray came on, and won a Hyundai Sonata in what I believe was the second-fastest time in the 52 months of first-run episodes, which was 26 seconds. She also returned for the November 1990 Tournament.

The 1:30PM episode today had the Cashpot in the second rebus round, IIRC the first time it was played in the second round.

Today's 9AM Concentration run had a contestant play for all four possible prizes in the second bonus round, which IIRC is the first known instance of that happending, but they didn't win it.

A contestant found all four prizes and then hit the Wild Card in the first bonus round on this morning's 9AM episdee, then Buzzr had more of its technical issues its been having this morning, as per the Facebook community page

Sounds like a new record for the Double Play round in today's Narz Concentration. 3 seconds.
I didn't watch (I'm still in bed when it airs in my area), I just read about it.

The puzzles are a little easier in the 1977-78 season than the 1976-77. It was suggested on Game SHow Forum that many of them are more like the $50 end of show time-filler rebuses used often from 1976-77

Also, the difficulty level of the Double Play rebuses has dropped considerably. IMO, the puzzles are much easier to solve since the introduction of the Revised Double Play Round. I don't see noted here that since the debut of the revised double play round, there have no more "$50 end of show time-filler rebuses" or a third foreign currency money game on the main board. Presumably, the need for time fillers was reduced because of the extra time used to describe and select the prizes before the double play round actually begins.

There was one episode at least so far in the 1977-78 season where the $50 rebuses were played Well that's good, I always liked those better then the foreign currency game.
Edited to add: I am about week behind watching BUZZR's episodes, and I just saw the episode in question. There was no solve in Game 2, and so no second bonus round. The $50 rebuses were time filler to replace that bonus round. My expectation is that when there are two solves, and two bonus rounds, there will not be any $50 rebuses.

The second episode was the start of a brief experiment of showing the solution to the folks at home. It was gone by the February 20, 1990 episode.
The bad news is that we'll be missing out on episode #0685. The good news is that at least there won't be any skipped car wins in this ten episode set. And we should be getting Georgann's car win. The woman with the second-fastest time.
