Disappointed that two episodes of PYL, which have aired on GSN in the past, were skipped. But at least I'm seeing the Skyway Luggage plug quite a bit, which USA Network, in contrast, ALWAYS kept, when they ran the bulk of the October 1983-December 1984 episodes. Starting with December 19, 1984, the "Some members of our studio audience plug" was moved to after Peter signed out.

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS! A Home Viewer Game Plug was kept on today's PYL! GSN's airings of this particular episode removed this plug.
Also, Peter said in the plug that the deadline for submissions of postcards was "This coming Tuesday" (April 24). So it was 10 episodes that they gave the address for this Home Viewer Game, the whole weekend tapings.

More schedules for all of June. What I've noticed
-Press Your Luck reverts back to episode #1 on June 26th. -Match Game 78 will air it's first set of episodes seen on Buzzr, starting with #1141 in the afternoons/latenights beginning June 19th
That's about all I noticed. Oh, and no new episodes of Beat the Clock. Wonder why it has Sundays and Weeknights.

So it looks like episode #173 is airing, and Buzzr obtained 40 episodes.
So, will it be the CBS cut of #173 that Buzzr will air or the GSN cut? The CBS cut focused more on the Home Player Spin; the GSN cut focused more on the drama and suspense.

dare2be, do you have episode #569 of Card Sharks (July 04, 1980)? That's the only episode of the original version beyond 1978 that they've aired. When did it air on Buzzr, besides July 4, 2015?

Sorry, vahan, according to the list, these are the only times that episode has aired:
07/04/2016 8:30a Card Sharks 80 0569 07/04/2016 10:30p Card Sharks 80 0569 07/05/2016 1:30a Card Sharks 80 0569 07/19/2016 6:00p Card Sharks 80 0569 07/20/2016 11:00a Card Sharks 80 0569 07/24/2016 5:00a Card Sharks 80 0569 08/15/2016 8:00a Card Sharks 80 0569 08/15/2016 10:00p Card Sharks 80 0569 08/16/2016 1:00a Card Sharks 80 0569
(I don't have dates listed before 7/22/2015)
Doubly sorry, as I don't collect Card Sharks. Maybe it will air again this July 4.

Will this work? www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgLQEWadyRk&t=5sOther shows included Password Plus (1980), Body Language (1985), Match Game 74, Press Your Luck (1985), Super Password (1985). I'm optimistic they'll show the Body Language episode again next month; it's the only one of these I haven't seen. They chroma-keyed fireworks onto the set at some point in the episode.

Tomorrow on PYL, these cosmetic changes happen:
1) New intros start.
2) Hereafter, the first shot in the actual episode is a close-up shot of player #2, followed by the camera zooming out.
3) No more demo spin, but it was brought back during the week of September 10, 1984, likely to explain the show to new CBS affiliates. (i.e. former Detroit affiliate WJBK)
4) $2,500 in #10 in R2 is now a prize. If you watched episode 153, Fredda had a choice between a Whammy, a Car and $2,500. Just about everyone would choose a car over $2,500 and a Whammy, so they changed it.

Ok, maybe it's just me but Monty's Beat the Clock feels out of place on a weeknight.

I think there was a typo in the taping date of episode #155. Jason Hernandez says it was taped on April 1, 1984, but this looks like a brand new tape date, weeks after April 1, which was the taping date of episodes #150-#154.
GSN did a Thanksgiving marathon of PYL episodes in 2001, in which they gave out the taping dates.

A bit late to this discussion, but I'm wondering if there's a reason why Buzzr dropped LMAD all of a sudden. Could CBS have decided they don't want Buzzr airing it?

If it was, wouldn't Les Moonves have come forward and say so? Didn't he come forward and say the same thing about why TPIR isn't being rerun anymore?

Whether CBS not wanting LMAD 70s-80s to air in reruns has anything to do with Buzzr taking it off their schedule is not proven. However, GSN dropped LMAD from its schedule in Summer 2009, just days before CBS announced the new version with Wayne Brady would replace Guiding Light. Monty had mentioned not long beforehand the talks of bringing LMAD back.

Didn't [Les Moonves] come forward and say the same thing about why TPIR isn't being rerun anymore? I think so. IIRC, the reasoning was that they didn't want competition with the first-run shows. And that's fine, if you're afraid your current product doesn't measure up to how it used to be.
