To be honest, I doubt it would be Mark Labbett. He is a teacher in England, you know...

It'll be someone we never heard of Probably. That wasn't the case with The Chase, though. Brooke probably needed a job. I don't care about rumors, I care about facts. Sent from my GT-P5113 using proboards

Well, a lot of females have worked with GSN before. I'm finding out tomorrow who the next rumored host of Chain Reaction could be. Check over at GameShowNetworkNews. I'll post it there.

gsnnadmin I'm sorry, but you don't give any sources. I had asked earlier in this thread for a source on Mark Labbett and you didn't give me a source. Come on. Quit kidding yourself. Can't you just admit when these are your own rumors? A blog isn't credible without listing the sources. In fact, without sources on blog posts about rumors, you're really not credible. It just shows that you're trying to be credible. I see the comments on your blog post about whats her name, Alex Davis, give him credit, he runs a pretty credible blog, like him or not. He gives sources when needed. caseyabell does the same, whether you like him or not. I always read Game Show Follies, it's pretty good for a small game show blog. And, Casey does have interesting stories. BuzzerBlog, the blog they are, they go out and get fresh game show stories, people can use BuzzerBlog as a source on their blogs, too. The blog has changed though. People don't like it when you start your own rumors, especially on message boards. Keep your rumors on your blog, how about, and we'll take the actually talked about rumors. Does GSN send people emails saying "RUMOR: Such and such might host..." I don't think so, so in a way, websites post their own rumors anyway. Leave the rumors to the credible game show news websites, though. Leave it to the ones who might know what they're talking about. No offense. You should probably stick to your facts, Scott. I don't intend to start an argument or a brawl here, I'm just being honest.

First rumor for host of GSN's Chain Reaction revival Mark Labbett ("The Beast" from The Chase) Say what? Can The Beast really handle doing two shows at once, not to mention flying from LA to the UK and back doing the US and British versions of The Chase?

In my opinion, it's not a very realistic rumor. Just this one stands out in my mind as unrealistic.

gsnnadmin I'm sorry, but you don't give any sources. I had asked earlier in this thread for a source on Mark Labbett and you didn't give me a source. Come on. Quit kidding yourself. I am sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I am NOT allowed to just hand out the names who e-mails me these rumors. I don't have the "executives" e-mails (Goldhill, Introcaso-Davis) but as stated on one of the first posts ever at GameShowNetworkNews, I have connections with the NYC GSN office: Two cousins who started as interns in 2012 and have since moved to full-time paid positions with production, advertising and public relations. These cousins of mine, who do not share the same last name as me, happen to speak to the execs in Santa Monica on basically a every-other-day, week-to-week basis about GSN productions. Once again, Labbett and McKellar were being considered to host the new Chain Reaction, but as far as I know at this point in time neither Labbett or McKellar have been approached by GSN or Sony. I also heard word last night that there was a production meeting yesterday (2/5) on a gay game show that may or may not surface on GSN. Check back at GameShowNetworkNews later for that.

So, GSN emails you the rumors, so you can post them, and get everyone's hopes up? This is how the media gets their hopes up? The way I see it, the media gets their information by really talking to people about the possibilities, no, I mean, really, I think the media usually puts these rumors out to get everyone's hopes up.
You're acting like you are a part of the media. Your website isn't very credible despite how many people visit it. I know Mandy doesn't want us to have a never ending argument, and I want to see it stays moderate, not spamming the thread here.
How long do you think your cousins will be with GSN?
Moving on.

The rumor has been around forever, but GSN finally put out the press release. I've got a post about it coming on Game Show Follies. Long story short, YEEHAW! It's always been a favorite format of mine. Now if they can just fix the end game. If it were me, I'd use a celebrity/contestant format with a 9 word chain, scoring identical to Cullen Chain with the words in positions 3 and 7 being the "Double" words. For the bonus round, I'd recycle DT from 1991 $100,000 Pyramid, only make it 10 2-word phrases in 60 seconds, with all the phrases starting with the same letter (contestant chooses between two letters and who gives/receives).

Mike Catherwood will be the host. He is known as "Psycho Mike" on the air at KROQ-FM in Los Angeles. He currently hosts "Loveline" on the station, a romantic advice call-in show, has appeared on Dancing With The Stars, and once sub-co-hosted Live With Regis & Kelly. Twitter page is now available here.

To those who have (bad) first impressions, leave them at the door until it debuts. There's no way to tell if he's gonna be bad or good at his job until we watch his entire first episode.

He's a local comedian who's never hosted a game show before. Those are facts, and they kinda do work against him.
Michael's not gonna be a Bill Cullen or a Geoff Edwards, that much is clear. Whether he's gonna be better than Dylan Lane and Blake Emmons...boy, I hope so.
